Maria's POV
"Do you think the guys are drunk yet?" I turned off the ignition of the car before I turned my head to look at Bri who was sitting in the passenger seat, looking down at her phone.
"Well I assume my dear brother is just a little bit tipsy. But other than that, maybe not yet." She chuckled as she looked up at me.
"Ugh yeah, I feel bad though for having you wait an extra forty minutes just so I could put on some make up." I said as I flipped down the mirror and rechecked my eyeliner.
Bri looked at me with a stern expression before she began to laugh. "Dude, you always spend like three hours in the bathroom. I'm proud you did it in forty."
"Heyyyyyy." I whined and pouted at her. We both looked at each other for a second before I started to laugh. We both opened up the doors to the car and stepped out.
"Am I really that bad?" I asked her as we walked towards the gigantic house. We could literally hear the music blasting from outside and when we got closer to the house, I smelled the strong stench of sweat. Gross.
"Naaah. Well, maybe. I don't know. You do dress up and spend a long ass time getting ready, but you always end up looking pretty." She batted her eyelashes at me with a smile on her face.
"Nawww, thanks Bri." I smiled towards her. "You're pretty tooo." I took her hand and started swinging our arms while opening the door into the house.
The first thing I noticed when we walked in was the huge crowd of dancing people in the middle of the giant living room. My eyes wandered towards the high ceiling and landed on the giant chandelier hanging down in the middle. I didn't know Michael's friend Nolan, but from the looks of his house his parents must be stinking rich. There was a lot of rich kids at our school, but I didn't think that Michael was really friends with any of them. I knew Luke was the richest of the six of us, but he wasn't one of those snotty kids who flaunted their money everywhere.
My first instinct was to look for the boys. Deep down, I wanted to just turn back around and go home so I could watch Netflix but I knew I had to do this. I had to accept the fact that Michael would possibly hook up with some slut at the end of the night.
"OOOH FRENCH FRY! You have to get six of them in." I heard Calum's loud voice boom over the music and Bri and I searched around the living room to find the boys. My eyes stopped once they landed on Michael who was holding a beer by a ping pong table.
"Hey guys." I waved and both Michael and Ashton snapped their heads towards us while Calum was counting the shots Luke had drowned.
"HEEEEEEY!" Michael slurred and came in for a hug. His breath smelled like a mixture of vodka and beer. Not the greatest mix, but I didn't care.
"So." Luke slurred and looked over at Cal who was counting the shot glasses on the table, "six down, now let's get you even more drunk!"
Luke groaned and walked over to Bri. She held out her arms expecting a hug, but Luke ran right into her and was all over her. The entire group looked at them before we all gave each other a look.
"So," she yelped, "what are we playing?" Shetried to control Luke's body dangling all over her.
"Beer pong, but with vodka." Michael smirked before his eyes widened and raised his hands up. "Vodka pong."
I giggled at him and he smiled at me before he wrapped his arm around my shoulders, receiving a glare from Ashton.
I felt awkward knowing the reason behind the glare. Ever since Brianna told me that he liked me, I didn't know how to act around him. I didn't feel the same way about him the way he did about me and I didn't exactly know how to handle the situation.
