Troubles Ahead

He finally decided to call it a night around 2 am and I was more than relieved

The bar is still open but he usually leaves a little before it closes completely

I hand him over the paperwork I had for the night, I am not allowed to do any of his work at home he's made that very clear

"Did you finish?"

I shake my head and his eyes dart to mine without missing a beat

"Um no, sorry, I'll continue tomorrow..."

"Mm" Was his reply

I could tell he was annoyed and he could tell I could not care less about this situation

I am mentally and physically over this whole day

I averted my eyes and was headed towards the door

"I'm driving you home" he said without looking even looking up

"Oh I thought the punishment started tomorrow.. I brought my car.."

"Someone will handle your car you're coming with me" he argued back, blunt and annoyed he left no room for any argument from me

"Oh..."

I guess I'll wait then, he finished grabbing his things and went straight to the back door, I followed behind him

I just have no fight left, didn't have fight in me to begin with

We made it to his car and I got into the passengers seat

I promised myself I wouldn't look or talk to him I'm going to pretend I am in this car alone

I stayed on my phone and remained quiet, until he yanked it from my hands

I just stare at my empty hands, still no fight

He's doing it for a reaction, one I won't be giving him

He looks over my phone at a red light, I was just reading so it's not anything I was worried about

He tosses it back without speaking

The rest of the ride was quiet and awkward, at least on my end for the last part

We reached my place and before I got out I hesitated, last time he held me back and left a bruise to go with it so I waited a little

Nothing was said or done so I just made my way inside.

This night has been the longest and most irritating/confusing night I've ever experienced.

I have no free will and when it hit me I bursted into tears again, he would love to see me like this.

He almost lives off of it I can see it in his dead cold eyes.

The following morning I had to do some grocery shopping so I checked to see if my car made its way back to me

I see it outside

I texted him telling him I have to grocery shop then left the apartment.

I got a text back when I was almost done at the store and he said "ok you can go"

It froze me

Wait..

I have to wait and ask for permission...

I don't recall him using those exact words.

"I'm almost done now actually" I texted back a little shaky

"I see"

I have to reply but what do I say to that? 'Hey you didn't make the rules clear moron!!'

"I'll be heading home very soon"

No reply.

That's enough to be threatening

Well the ride to work today will be very interesting.
