Eddie's (Middle School) POV
It was the School Talent Show 1980 or last day of school, I was gonna play the guitar today. And my best friend, Chrissy Cunningham, was gonna do a cheer. I was practicing with my band, Corroded Coffin, when the "King of Hawkins" passed by the Music Room and entered.
"Woah, wrong room, buddy-" My bandmate and friend, Gareth said
"For fuck's sake, I'm sorry! I'm kind of lost right now..." Steve, my biggest crush and the "King of Hawkins" said to Gareth
"You never say sorry" Steve looked at him
"God! You are so fucking annoying! I was literally asking for help, bitch" I almost burst out laughing
"Kneel before me before I get my father to kick you out of here!" Gareth immediately kneeled near him, begging him not to tell his father to kick him out
"Good, I like the way you act like a beggar" He laughed and looked at me
Steve's (From the Present) POV
Acting mean is just so hard, especially acting mean to Eddie's friend. Anyways, I looked at Eddie and pointed at him. He turned to me and he didn't look like "the Eddie" I know. He had short buzzed hair, he didn't have his rings on, and I saw that he had no tattoos and his clothing style looked different.
"You, boy! What are you doing?" I asked him
"I'm practicing, sir..."He said as he put his head down, it's really hard to act mean to Eddie
"Come show me the Auditorium! Hurry up!" I couldn't call Eddie names since he might not like that and start crying...
"Coming!" Eddie said as he stood up and opened the door for me
Eddie's (Middle School) POV
I was walking to the Auditorium since Steve asked me to lead him there. When we entered, everybody stopped and bowed down at Steve and started to give space for him to walk. He was really a king and the king of my heart!
"I'll leave you right here, Sir Steve" Steve looked at me from head to toe
"Call me, Steve, instead! You're my new bodyguard! I was shocked
"I'm sorry, but, I can't be your bodyguard! I'm really busy and I might not be able to focus on you" Steve laughed and looked at my eyes'
"Then focus on me... You idiot" I blushed a little bit and just bowed down
"I'll think about it..." And I just left
Steve's (From the Present) POV
When Eddie left, I sighed and walked backstage. The people were practicing and I even saw my enemy, Billy Hargrove, the brother of Max Mayfield and my worst enemy in the whole wide world.
"Hey look, it's "Your Majesty" Billy and his friends laughed
"Fuck off, Hargrove" I said as I was walking towards him
Billy then grabbed my collar and dragged me outside. Everyone tried to save me, but, Billy pushed them away. Soon after, he hid me in the janitor's closet and locked the door.
"Holy Shit! I'll miss the Talent Show!" I said looking worried
Eddie's (Middle School) POV
It's already been almost 1 hour at the auditorium but I didn't see Steve. I know he wanted to be early for the Talent Show, but, why isn't he here? I looked everywhere for him, but, there's still no sign of Steve. I started to calm myself down and went on the stage.
"Hi... We're Corroded Coffin and we'll play a song for you guys" Chrissy was so excited and she started to clap her hands and so did her friends
"This song is dedicated to a memory that came up to my head somehow" I looked around again to find Steve, but, there was no one there
Steve's (From the Present) POV
My breath was shortening inside the Janitor's Closet. I banged on the door every minute there was, but, there was still no one. I waited in there about to pass out, until, Robin opened the door. We weren't best friends yet that time, so, she treated me differently that time.
"Oh... Hi?" Robin said as she looked at me with a concerned face
"Thank you for unlocking me! The jerk, Billy, locked me up" Robin was shocked
"Here let me help you up" Robin helped me get up
"Thank you! I'll repay you, promise!" I ran to the Auditorium and everybody stared at me as I stood there watching Eddie performing
