I laid down comfortably on beach chair and allowed the sun to soak in my skin.
I can't believe we're in the Caribbean islands, it almost feels surreal to be in this amazing region of North America.
It was the first time Demetrius had allowed me to go to a public beach and frankly, I hated it.Don't get me wrong the beach was lovely, the weather was perfect and the scenery was breathtaking.
However, in our own private beach (imagine my shock when I found out Demetrius had his own beach in the Caribbean) it was much more relaxing, I could hear the calming waves of the beautiful sea as I closed my eyes and felt the sun's warm rays of light tan my body.
In this place, I can't get a moment of silence, there are countless kids running around and screaming with buckets on their heads. To make matters worse, the crowded beach has forced me to have my chair squashed at the back of the beach. My usual front row seat to the scenery was taken by a family picnic.
"Argh." I groan as I cover my ears, hoping to drown out the never-ending screams of little children.
"Told you, you would hate it." Demetrius commented casually beside me while reading his book.
"This doesn't make any sense, I used to love coming here, now it feels like the worst place in earth."
Demetrius chuckled. "The high life Sophia, it changes you."
"I haven't changed." I muttered, folding my arms and looking at the terrain before me - well as much of it as I could see.
"I'm going for a swim." I sighed when I knew there was no chance I would be able to observe the beautiful sunset from where I was and proceeded to take off my foral sundress.
I hadn't even began to move the straps from my shoulders before Demetrius' three bodyguards acted as the great wall of China around me.
I staggered back in shock as the tall figures of three giant men's backs came in view. "Demetrius, what is the meaning of this?" I hissed when his three bodyguards shielded me as I took off my dress.
Demetrius looked around the swarmed beach before turning to me. "Do you know what entices men more than the sight of you wearing a bikini?" He questioned as he eyed my outfit, mostly out of irritation that I refused to wear my one piece.
I let out a breathy laugh and shook my head. "Well this should be good." I folded my arms and waited patiently for him to answer.
"It's the sensuous movement of your body as you slowly take off the dress."
I stood still and stared at my overreactive husband. "You're delusional." I shook my head at him before making a run for the water.
*****
I dried my wet body with the beach towel and wrapped it around my soaking body. I knew how much of a hissy fit Demetrius would make if he saw me lying down, exposed in only a bikini.
"Want one?" A cold icy bottle of coke was placed on my lap and I instantly shivered at the coldness. I glared at Demetrius as he laughed at me.
"You did that on purpose." He only winked before putting on his sunglasses and relaxing.
"How was your swim?" He asked without looking at me.
"It must have been good seeing as you didn't punch anybody for staring at me for more than 10 seconds." I smiled wryly.
"True." He chuckled before taking a swig of his coke, I did the same.
"Demetrius?"
"Hm?"
