And with that, he walked out the door. I stood there, with tears brimming in my eyes. It's funny how the simplest words can crush you.
I set off on my journey, and after about a half hour, I reach my destination. I walk through the door, not even acknowledging my mother's greeting and don't stop until I reach the safety of my room. I shut the door and lock it, even though my parents do not permit locking my door, and sit there in silence.
My head is reeling as I think about the events that occurred over the past hour.
