Chapter 38 - Alexander vs Nora and Ren

(Vytal Festival Grounds - Alexander POV)

Alexander: "Now then, you stupid, worthless pieces of shit..." I say and pause before closing my eyes and opening them, my pupils slit, looking like a pair of lion eyes as my aura flares up, glowing orange as my attention is solely focused on them.

Alexander: "...BRING IT!" I shout as the two of them charge at me and I charge at them soon after, all three of us making a battle cry.

Both Nora and Ren go to the left and right side of me, as if trying to do a pincer attack, with Nora getting ready to use her hammer to attack me from the right and Ren trying to kick me from the left but I intercept them by grabbing Nora's hammer by the head and Ren by the leg and throw both of them towards the Emerald Forest as I follow them soon after, trying to get away from as many people as possible.

Alexander: "Time to get to work..." I say to myself before I walk after them, my footsteps igniting behind me and my aura flares up even more, taking up the visage of a demon as I bare my teeth and notice Nora embedded into a tree and Ren embedded to the dirt.

(Emerald Forest - Ren POV)

I was shocked about how effortlessly he stopped our attacks, noticing that she nearly went through a nearby tree as my eyes widen before we both notice Alex walking towards us with an expression that could only be described as murderous intent.  I then turn to Nora as she gets up and nods at me as I get up, covered in dirt as Alex continues to walk towards us.

Nora: "C'mon Ren, we don't have to beat him, we only have to distract him until General Ironwood gets ready!" she says as I look down and sigh before closing my eyes as Nora looks at me and frowns, knowing that we probably don't stand a chance, but I push away my fears and look at Alex.

Ren: "R-Right, let's do this, Nora!" I say with conviction as we run toward Alex again, this time head-on, as to not get trapped like that again as Nora goes to swing her hammer towards Alex's torso and he jumps back before I vault over Nora and kick Alex in the jaw, causing him to slide backwards, stunning him slightly as he cracks his jaw.

Ren: "Don't let up, keep going!" I shout as we continue our assault, with Nora swinging her hammer at specific angles to keep him on his toes and I provide covering fire and additional attacks for her, but...

Ren: "Is it just me, or is he getting faster?!" I think to myself as Alex starts to avoid and block our attacks, but we're still keeping the pressure on him, as he hasn't been able to generate any momentum, but when all seemed like it was going in our favor...

...I watched as he suddenly punched Nora in the head through our relentless assault, launching her through at least three trees, which shocked me greatly as I rush to her aid and help her up as we look at Alex, who looks MUCH more annoyed than before.

(Alexander POV)

I never expected these runts to put THAT much pressure on me, but I managed to find an opening and punched the ginger brat in the face as I watch Ren help her up, much to my annoyance as I growl loudly.

Alexander: "You two managed to keep me at bay for a little while, and you are more in sync with each other than I first thought, so I'll have to give you credit where it's due, but..." I say and pause as I walk towards the two and growl again as crack my jaw again, wondering if it's broken.
