Chapter 4

(There are three small buildings in their camp, each with one window. One is a garage, another was their planning room, and the third was where they slept.)

Lloyd's POV:

I sat down in front of a table, with Mystake in front of me, examining my features as she looked up and down, as I gripped my fists and looked down, before facing her and asking,

"What is happening in this world?"

"Very direct, I see. But this world is not who you will come to be, for your destiny is being fulfilled. Should you still want to know?"

"I would. I want to know why Kai attacked me, why everyone's acting like this towards me, and well... a lot of things aren't what I'm used to."

Mystake chuckled and sipped her tea, before looking into the reflection and sighing sadly. Putting her tea down, she looked at me in the eyes and spoke.

"The Lloyd Garmadon of our realm is not the Green Ninja he will come to be, but the Overlord's Messenger and Destroyer of Our Realm."

My eyes widened. The Overlord?! He was defeated... no, gone from our realm. What was going on...? I opened my mouth to ask but with a glare, she silenced me as I continued to listen.

"When Lloyd had been born, he inherited his father's blood... more specifically, the Great Devourer's venom. Being a young child, and his parents not having noticed that the venom was in Lloyd... he became a bitter child."

I gulped. I looked at my hands as I shook my head and looked towards Mystake again, who continued.

"When the venom transferred to Lloyd, it removed the venom from Garmadon entirely... but the Great Devourer was merely a pawn of the Overlord. The Overlord ruined Lloyd's destiny as the Green Ninja. Currently, he has brought Ninjago to its downfall... and we're what remains of a Resistance."

Resistance... I remembered the time when Garmadon and... Harumi took over Ninjago. But two sayings was ingrained into me the moment I heard that word.

'The Resistance Never Quits!'

'I cannot fight you, but I can resist you!'

Mystake's death hadn't been vain, nor was Darreth's, Skylor's, and Nya's sacrifices to take back Ninjago. I... no, WE endured through that mess, and I know they'll do the same. I sighed as I stood up and turned to a window, seeing the others begin their training.

"You seem to have something in your mind, Young Garmadon."

I looked behind me and saw Mystake still sitting down, sipping her tea. I rubbed my neck and looked away, replying,

"You're not the only one who has had to fight with a Resistance."

"Old memories, I presume?"

"Yep... "

A door opened behind me, and turning around, I saw Kai who looked frantically around the room before gazing at me. He sighed and said,

"Hey, uh... Lloyd?"

"Hmm?"

"Sorry about the attack earlier. I just got scared... it doesn't mean I trust you yet, though."

"That's fair. You look like even more of a mess compared to the messy Kai that I know."

He stared wide-eyed at me, before he chuckled at that remark and waved goodbye, closing the door, Mystake sipping her tea and chuckling, saying to Lloyd:

"Hmm... you must be confused after the vision?"

"I know that they will be fine. They're one of the strongest people that I know! Just can't help not worrying about them, though..."

Mystake nodded and stood up, putting down her teacup as she opened the door and turned to Lloyd.

"We should go see what the Ninja are up to. Maybe you might be able to get close to them, and even have a clue of how to get back home."

I nodded and left the room, immediately being greeted by the outside as the Ninja were all there, sparring with each other. Pixal and Skylor were carrying crates towards Nya, who began tinkering with some cars. I turned and saw Wu and Garmadon call them, including me.

Mintues later, everyone had gathered into a nearby table, and I felt there weren't as many heavy glares on me being there. Though, they looked terrible. Mystake asked,

"Whatever did you call us here for, hmm?"

Garmadon turned to her and replied,

"It's Lloyd... OUR Lloyd. We found out something about what he is planning. A floating island with dark Oni Energy has a weapon on it powerful enough to corrupt all of Ninjago. He is spotted at the outskirts of the city!"

Kai spoke out,

"We have to stop him from doing this! What do we do, Senseis?"

Wu replied,

"I am not sure... it absorbs our mech electrical energy, and Vengestone Warriors guard the weapon, rendering our powers useless."

Wu and Garmadon looked at each other, as I looked away and remembered what happened with Kai, Zane, Jay and Cole...
