A Different Outcome...? - Ninjago Fanfic

Chapter 1

Lloyd POV:

Kai and Nya were providing a distraction while Cole and Jay were helping evacuate everyone else that was there. I was with Zane, trying to take the scroll from the villain who called themselves; Space Warper. They stole a powerful scroll from Master Wu, and we were tasked with getting it back...

"Lloyd, watch out!"

Zane called out as we dodged out of the way as Kai hit the wall next to us, quickly recovering before jumping in the fight as Cole and Jay came and started helping them.

"Zane! We got to get the scroll now!"

Zane nodded and we both rushed towards the scroll tucked in a case, dodging a few attacks that came my way, but Zane wasn't lucky enough to doge them. I stopped and reached out to him, but he said:

"Keep going, Lloyd!"

Zane quickly stood up and charged at Space Warper, nodding to myself as I grabbed the scroll, but Space Warper noticed, screaming in a fury of anger as they yelled.

"No!"

They sent an attack towards me, hitting the scroll and activating it,  I couldn't help but scream in pain as the Scroll's power activated and a portal appeared below me, sucking me in the portal as I tore off a piece of the scroll. The last thing I heard were the yells of my friends, all saying my name...

"Lloyd!!!"

Somewhere...

I fell through the portal and landed somewhere, cracking the roof as I tried to get my bearings straight. I looked around and saw that I was on the Monastery, but somehow... it felt more different than usual... I pocketed the scroll piece that I had before I lost it.

"What's going on...?"

I put on my mask as I leapt down from the roof, landing in the Courtyard as I saw the design of the Monastery, looking much more different from the usual peaceful view. There were signs of a battle everywhere...

"What's happening?!"

I started walking around, only for a fireball to be directed at me. I narrowly leapt out the way and turned to the source; Kai. Only, he looked much different from earlier.

"Kai! What was that for?!"

"You know exactly why, Lloyd!"

I wanted to explain but he kept firing at me, forcing me to dodge all his attacks. I charged up my energy power, but stopped from casting it, not wanting to hurt him. Because of that, he hit my chest, and I yelled from he pain, stumbling to the ground.

"Agh!"

I crawled away, Kai in front of me but stopped at the sound of a familiar voice.

"Kai! That's enough."

It was  Master Wu... but he also looked different... I shook my head as he approached me and helped me up, Kai looking confused, but keeping his glare at me.

"Sensei? What's going on?"

"Something seems wrong..."

He removed my mask and examine my features, moving my chin before I pulled away and stepped back, leaning on the wall. I kept glancing at Kai as I watched the other Ninja step out of the Monastery. Zane, Nya, Jay, Cole, and Pixal were all there... but each of them looked different.

"Uhm... why does everyone look so different?"

Everyone looked at each other, before looking at me, shutting my mouth as I fixed my suit and replied:

"I'll stop asking..."

Master Wu fixed his hat, before glancing at my pocket. Rubbing his bamboo staff, he took out his hand and asked:

"Can I see your hand?"

"Uh... sure?"

Obliging, he took my hand and gave me a crystal. It shone white at first, before shining in a bright color of green. I yelped and dropped the crystal, being caught by Master Wu. Zane turned to him and asked,

"Sensei, what's going on?"

"It would seem as if he is not the Lloyd that we know of."

The other ninja looked skeptical, but I was more surprised then anything, and started freaking out.

"What...?!"
