ARACELI'S POV I leave Vance and go to find my friends at the gate entrance and the day continues as I go to my classes and do my work, until it came time for science class. I really like science, most people don't like it and don't understand it but I do, Mr. Sanders ( our science teacher ) as usual was ranting about how much we don't pay attention when i just decided to draw on my paper because why not. I was doodling and just zoned out when I feel something like a paper ball hit my head, I looked around and I see Vance mouthing something like " look down " so I do and I see a paper ball. I reach under my desk, get it and open it,

I didn't even get to respond before Mr. Sanders took it from my hands.
"No passing notes in my class young lady!" he says while snatching up the note.
"I wonder what it says?" says him while he opens the note up.
at this point I'm scared everyone is going to find out that I've been talking to Vance again, start a new rumor about me and Vance being a thing again and tell Bruce. Last time was stressful enough, I don't wanna deal with that again. Mr Sanders is about to open the note.
when he doesn't.
"I'm just joking but if you pass another note again Araceli, I'll give you detention. Do you understand?" the whole class looks at me.
"Yes sir, I understand." I say looking down at my desk.
Mr. Sanders throws the note in the trash, honestly I'm thankful he didn't read it allowed. I mean it didn't say anything but everyone would ask who I was hanging out with and watching movies with. Eventually after half an hour class ends, I pack my bag and head to my other class when someone grabs my shoulder and whispers in my ear,
"After school meet me at the back of the school, where the trash cans are." I look and it's Vance, but he leaves suddenly as people get up to leave too. I feel myself get hot and my friend Alison comes up to me,
"Hey ceci, you ok? You look red, do you have a fever or something? " she says laughing to herself.
"Oh no I'm fine it's just hot in here, the windows aren't open. " I make up as a cover.
Something about Vance putting his hand on my shoulder and whispering made me blush, I know I shouldn't I HAVE A BOYFRIEND FOR CHRISTS SAKE!! I shake off the feeling and me and Alison walk to our last class for the day. School ends and I think to myself Should I go to the trash cans behind the school to see Vance or go home? I get to the entrance and I make a decision, I'll just go see what Vance has to say when I feel someone grab my waist and spin me around, what's with people grabbing me today jeez. I look at who was the wise guy and it was Bruce, shit I was about to go see Vance and now he finally shows up after all day?!
"Hey baby, how are you?" Bruce says while hugging me and kissing my cheek.
"Woah Bruce, you're very affectionate today." I say surprised.
"Well you're my girlfriend, I can't be loving towards you?" he says laughing. He's so cute when he laughs Jesus.
" hm true." I reply.
" So speaking of you, my girlfriend. Wanna go on a ice cream date tomorrow night? We haven't gone on a date or hung out in a while, I miss you." he says holding my hands.
I was about to say yes when I remembered Vance saying if I wanted to rewatch jaws again, since I fell asleep. Also tomorrow night, so what do i do? Go with Bruce for ice cream or watch a movie with Vance again? Finally after thinking to myself I think of the perfect answer for both scenarios.
"Oh sorry Bruce, I'm hanging out with Alison tomorrow night sorry." I say looking at him.
" oh ok that's fine, we'll do it another time then. I also want to ask you another question."
" what?" oh god what was it now.
" I called you last night to talk but you didn't answer? Did you seriously fall asleep or something on our weekly phone talk?" he says laughing again.
" oh sorry yea I forgot, I fell asleep early last night sorry." I reply kissing his cheek.
"Ok I was just checking, well I have to go to practice right now so bye honey. " he smiles at me, kisses me and leaves.
God he was asking so many questions, I felt like I was getting interrogated. But I handled it, I thought to myself. Should I go see Vance now but I thought he might not be there, it had been a few minutes though. Just to make sure I went to go look and like I thought, he wasn't there.
I walk home and I pass by the baseball field, I see Bruce on the bench but I walk away since I just wanted to go home, eat and go take a nap. I got home and did just that, I was already asleep when I hear my phone ring. It woke me up and i answer it.
"Hello?" I say sleepy.
"Hey it's Vance."
god, can't I just go a day without talking to Vance or Bruce?? no I can't.
"Oh hey, what did you call me for?"
"Um why didn't you come see me after school?"
fuck I forgot about that.
"oh sorry Alison dragged me to her house and we hung out for a while, sorry about that."
"Ok well can I tell you what I was going to say now?"
"Sure"
"Well first, can you come tomorrow to rewatch jaws? I mean you fell asleep halfway through it so."
"Oh uh sorry I'm hanging out with Alison tomorrow night too. She wants to watch a movie with me too, I watched jaws already though so it's fine. "
"oh... well for the second question um, did you hear about the field trip to the aquarium for science class next week? "
"Oh yeah why? "
"Well you know we need partners to go with to keep track? I wanted to ask if you wanted to go with me."
"oh um well-
"please Perez, no one will partner up with me if you don't! And if they don't I'll have to be partners with Mr. Sanders, you know he has it out for me! "
damn it, he's good. I know Sanders doesn't like Vance and Vance doesn't like Sanders. Fine, I guess I'll go with him. If anyone asks I'll just say we were assigned together since nobody wanted to be with him. They'll probably believe it.
"Fine I'll go with you."
"YES THANK YOU PEREZ, YOU WON'T REGRET IT!"
"yeah, yeah. I have to go to dinner now, do you have any more questions?" I say with a tired voice.
"nope, no more questions but-"
"goodbye." I hung up on him, hey if we kept going he would ask to borrow my kidney or something. People are asking me too many questions today, I just wanna go to sleep.
