"The only thing I didn't want to do is to patrol an art gallery at night" the guard squealed in fear when he accidentally pointed his flashlight at the gargoyle
"You'll never be a good guard if you're like that" his partner insulted him. They were walking with their flashlights when they suddenly heard something
Guard 1 squealed in fright again "Did you just hear something?" Guard 2 asked his comrade
"D-don't scare me like that" he stuttered "I-it's from this room" they opened the door and then flashed a flashlight inside
"Who's here?!" Guard 2 yelled, "Is somebody here?" they heard the clanking noise again. This time, from the scary dark room. Once they saw what it was, they screamed in fear. There stood a knight, holding a blade, with glowing red eyes

"Huh? A medieval armor moved on its own?" Conan asked for confirmation from Ran
"2 guards said they saw it. It's a pretty famous rumor around the neighborhood. It sounds like fun so let's go and check it out right now" Ran enthusiastically invited the 2 kids and her father. Conan and Kogoro laughed because of the ridiculousness of the story while Kana just smiled at her, not wanting to hurt the girl's feelings
"That's probably a story made up by the art gallery to get more customers" Kogoro stated
"Yeah, that's right, Ran-nee-chan. It's there to fool kids" Conan agreed
'You ARE a kid' Ran thought
"Ok, back to work..." -Kogoro
"I'll go do my homework" Conan got up too
"Wait right there!" Ran stopped them by punching the table, giving it a crack "You'll go right?" she showed them her steaming fist. They agreed, scared she might hurt them if they said no
"Tsk! Ran always does that when things don't go her way" Conan mumbled to Kana. Kana just chuckles at the whole situation
"Shouldn't have made her learn karate" Kogoro regretted his decision

"Wow! Lots of beautiful artwork!" Ran emitted sparkles through her eyes when she saw the gorgeous artworks "Aren't you glad that we came? Look at this! Such pretty colors!" Ran looked at the paintings with Kana who was beautifully dressed
"You like that one, young lady?" an old man suddenly said behind them "I like this painting a lot too. Not just that. I love all the paintings here as if they were my children" he commented
"Uh, and you are?" Kana politely asks the old man
"Oh! Sorry. I am the director here. My name is Ochiai"
"Oh, the director. No wonder" Ran exclaimed
"Well, please take your time and enjoy-" he looked behind him where he saw a man taking a painting and touching it "Kubota! What are you doing?! I told you to always wear gloves when you touch the paintings!" he scolded
