17 | Naphtali - Finale

CHAPTER 17 - NAPHTALI - FINALE

From the other light, stepped out..

"Mom?" Naphtali started tearing up. Viola stood on the ground, rubbing her head. "Ugh.. that was a long sleep." She looked over at Naphtali. "Son..I knew you could do it." Naphtali looked confused. "Huh?.." Viola smiled. "You activated your Holy Stone form. I was always a part of you. All it took was for you to activate it, and I'd come back in my own body." She walked over to hug him. Naphtali stepped away. "Son?" Naphtali swiped his hand. "SHUT UP!" He shouted. "DON'T YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I SUFFERED?! You could have told me! In a note! In anything! I THOUGHT I WAS ALONE! AND IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT!" He hid his face in his knees. Viola went to him. She knelt down and wrapped him in her arms. "Sh.. it's okay. I am sorry. I'm here now. And I will never leave again." Naphtali cried. "It's that simple, son. I will never leave you again." They hugged each other. They would never be alone again. They always would have each other. Naphtali's head overflowed with memories of his mother holding him in her arms, feeding him, teaching him to walk, and all sorts of stuff. This is what Naphtali wanted. What everyone would have wanted for him.

Naphtali threw up. Viola stepped away. "Naphtali? What's wrong? Do you feel sick?" She tried to hug him again. Naphtali stuck out his hand at her. He turned around to face her. "R.. RUN! PLEASE!" Viola shook her head. "I won't leave just because you're throwing up! What did you eat recently?" Naphtali's body started shaking. "G.. G.. GO!!!!" He screamed at her as dark, black energy covered him. He grew two wings, and 2 horns. His body turned grey. He grew long, black nails, and fangs. He floated up into the air. His eyes turned red. He looked down at Viola. "What did he eat? .." Naphtali smirked. 

"A Devil." Viola shook her head. She fell onto the floor. She covered her mouth. "No.. no! It can't be true! Naphtali, snap out of it! It's not nice to pull such a joke on your mother!" Naphtali laughed. "Don't call me that. Naphtali is no longer my name. I.. am.." He stuck his hand out, charging a dark energy blast. ".. Beelzebub." He fired at Viola. Viola guarded it with a blue shield. "STOP IT! LET HIM GO!" Beelzebub shook his head. "It's not that simple. What do you think happened to Mania? Or Tunrida? How did they disappear?" Viola gulped. "How? .." Beelzebub laughed. "THEEEEY.. DIED!" Viola breathed out. It was shaky. "Kill me.. the strongest devil of all.. YOU CAN'T! KEKEHEHEHE!" Viola stood up from the ground. She started sweating. She asked a question she was scared to even think of. "How.. how is this possible?" Beelzebub floated down and picked up Akuji's body from afar, by using his powers to pull the body toward him. "Simple.. the day Naphtali blacked out in Kraghon. The day you found him on the floor. It was the day I attacked. I simply.. took the boy's body. I was locked away inside it. Until.. he ate Mania. That sped up the process.. so much! Having already had a Devil inside of him, and then eating another one.. It was suicide!" He ripped Akuji's body in half. He started juggling several different body parts. Viola summoned a sword. "What are you going to do? Kill me? I would love to see you try." Viola shook more. "I.. I will do.. anything for my boy.." "In that state of fear?"

Beelzebub reached out with his arm. Viola's body slowly started hovering up. "I will make sure you know fear. And pain." The world's skies turned red. Black thunder crashed down. Around Kagnia, people from other countries and continents started getting possessed. Their body drooped as they kneeled on the floor. It was as if they had no skeleton inside of them. Their eyes would fall out of their heads. Beelzebub pulled millions of possessed bodies towards him. They all floated around Viola. "Join.. us.. join.. us.." They started chanting rituals. "Life is never eternal. Neither is happiness. Join Beelzebub in hell, the godfather of us all, and you will experience true eternal happiness!" Viola shook as she hovered up higher. "You do not understand the pain Naphtali has caused the earth." Beelzebub grinned. "We love you, Viola!" The bodies continued to suffer. "JOIN.. US.." Viola's body started stretching. Her arms started stretching out. Her arms reached the floor and her head started turning. "Please!" Beelzebub laughed. "Oh, please! Pleaaase! AHAHAHA!" He mocked her. "Begging won't save you from this situation. Oh, after I'm done with this planet.. I may as well make you my right hand in hell. Or maybe I'll cut you up.. and use you as an example to scare everyone!" Viola's head was now turned 180 degrees. "MY- MY NECK! IT WILL SNAP!" Viola screamed out of pain. Her neck snapped as she stopped breathing. Beelzebub let Viola's body drop to the floor. "How.. pathetic." He stood down on the ground. "I was hoping you'd give me a good fight as well." The bodies he held on a string followed behind him as he slowly walked toward Viola's body. "Now.. we feast." He stretched his hand out toward Viola. The bodies circled her body as they all started ripping her apart and eating every last bit of her. Beelzebub let a single tear drop from his eye. "Come on.. mom.. why didn't you kill me?" He looked over the bodies to see Viola's body. The bodies turned their heads to look at Beelzebub. Beelzebub floated up to escape the sight he had seen. "Why.. is she filled with cotton?!" The dark, red clouds parted to let Viola float down through them.

"When you turned into a Devil.. I created a puppet of myself, which I controlled." She had strings around her fingers. Beelzebub reached out with his hand again. The bodies flew toward Viola. She started glowing a beautiful gold. "Your poor souls are in hell.." A halo appeared above her head. She grew wings. She turned into a beautiful angel. When the bodies flew into her, they turned into pure light and disappeared. "And now, you may all rest in the skies. No longer will you suffer the torment of hell." Beelzebub grit his teeth. "GO AWAAAAY!" The strings around his fingers multiplied. "GRAAAAH!!!!" He sent two million bodies Viola's way. She sent out a barrier of light which they all hit. They disappeared. The red sky started slowly turning into a rich blue. "One thing you will never understand is true happiness." Viola appeared in front of Beelzebub. She multiplied herself, enough to have 10 of her. They all grabbed onto one of Beelzebub's fingers, which had a string around it. "What are you.." Another Viola appeared behind him and wrapped her arm around his throat. "Be silent. I'll make sure you die a happy death." The ones that held his fingers ripped them all clean off. He tried to scream but he couldn't let a breath out, he was being choked. "You have made people suffer as long as you have existed. And that suffering will not end until the day that you die." He groaned. "I am.. your.. sooon..." Viola gripped him harder. "You are not Naphtali. You took his body. I have no trouble killing you if it means it will let his soul leave in peace." He tried to rip her arm off, but she wouldn't budge. "Let nothing trouble you. Let nothing frighten you. All things will pass. Including this pain." She closed her eyes. "I see you were just a human too. A small boy. Things changed. It's okay to feel pain in your heart and to want to take revenge. But this is not the way. This is not how to get over your own pain. Causing others to feel what you did is only going to repeat the cycle. No amount of suffering you cause will bring your old life back." Beelzebub started tearing up as blood came out of his mouth. "Let it happen. Let go of what you know." All of her clones wrapped around him and turned into light, other than the real one. "They will accept you in the afterlife.. I know they will. They are lovely people. Please.." She opened her eyes and smiled. "Take care of my son." Naphtali's body slowly turned back to its normal colour as the parts of the Devil disappeared. The dark spirit left Naphtali as it floated up and turned into gold sparkles. Viola held Naphtali's body in her arms as she floated down to sit on the ground. She looked up and saw Beelzebub's spirit make its way to the skies. "Not everyone may be innocent. But everyone deserves a happy ending in their life." She shed a tear as she looked down at her son opening his eyes.

"Mom? .." She placed her hands on his head as she ran through his hair. "It's okay.." Naphtali didn't move an inch. "I don't.. I don't wanna go.. I'm not ready.." He started tearing up. She rubbed the tears out of his eyes. "Please.. please.. mom.." Viola started crying too. "It's okay.. please don't fight.. I will miss you dearly.. you will always be my son, no matter where you are.. we will meet again someday." He moved his arms to hug Viola. "I don't wanna go.. I don't wanna.. all these years.. I missed you.. I still want to be with you.. I want to see the rest of the world together.." His breathing and pulse got slower. "I know.. but I know you will be fine in the afterlife. This pain is temporary. Please don't suffer more than you already have. Only in the agony of parting do we look into the depths of love. Ever since the age of 12, you had to participate in a war. You had to kill your own father and your love. You have fought for many years. It's time you rest, my love. I love you." Naphtali's pupil's disappeared from his eyes. "I.. love.." He closed his eyes, as his arms dropped down by his sides. "Naphtali? .." Viola squeezed his body. "Naphtali!" She started shaking him. "NAPHTALI!" Naphtali's body turned into light as he started floating up. His body slowly turned into gold sparkles. Before Viola could say anything else, his body had disappeared. The light from his body spread across the world, bringing strange hope to everybody in it. The skies cleared as the fire and rubble everywhere in the world disappeared. This was Naphtali's final gift to the world. Viola stood up and looked up to see the sun appearing again from beyond the clouds. She raised her hands up to her face and covered her face. She fell to the ground and sobbed uncontrollably after her son. She couldn't be more proud. He had saved everything in existence. She grabbed her hair and cried. Naphtali's conscience remained for a while longer.

I see.. everything. Everyone in existence. I did it.. I saved them all. Just like I promised. Never again will these people suffer.. I.. I see you.. Rem.. I'm coming.. Ruth.. Akuji.. I see everyone.. I'm coming..

Naphtali was known as the great saviour, as he disappeared into the world. Naphtali remained as the beacon of light for everyone around the world for centuries.. no, thousands of.. 

No. Naphtali remained the beacon of light forever. This world never felt pain again. 

One year later..
