CHAPTER 8 - ALL WE HAVE IS EACHOTHER
"Indeed, Naphtali. Holy Stones." Euryale turned around to everyone. "I'm your dear traitor." She smiled, as she turned around to everyone. "I've been telling everyone our plans. That's how Longinus knew where we were." She reached out her hands. "I've also recruited someone for Kraghon. A Holy Stone, if you will." She giggled, like a maniac. "Now, you have no chance of winning! Two Holy Stones, a king with Nightmare powers, and a girl with healing powers? HAH! 5 HOLY STONES AGAINST US FOUR?! THAT'S NOTHING!" She laughed. "Naphtali! How could you not foresee this?!" Lilith yelled. "Are you a traitor, too?!" "No, no commander! I can't see any future, I-" He was interrupted by their traitor. "I wonder why that is. The future seer cannot see any future for yourselves. Maybe.. maybe Kraghon wins, huh?" He sat down. "Ah.. how wonderful!" "You.. bastard! We gave you all we had, we-" Akuji was interrupted. "Blah, blah. Stop blabbering your nonsense, pathetic, worthless, junk!" Akuji's morale decreased. "Wh- what?" "Oh, yeah, you haven't noticed. These Holy Stones obviously don't want you around!" She smiled. "Ruth, Rem, Lilith. No one wants you either. Everyone oooonly wants Naphtali after all!" She laughed, louder this time. "HAHAHA!" Ruthven changed their hand into a hammer and charged at Euryale. "HAAA!" Euryale warped away, back to Kraghon.
"This.. it can't be." Naphtali sat down. "Do we.. really not matter?" Rem lay down and curled into a ball, sobbing into her knees. Ruthven said nothing and wiped the tears from her eyes. "I'm.. meant to be the strong one. I've never cried. I never cry. I never, ever.." She mumbled to herself. Akuji hit the ground. "Damn it! I do matter! I do, I do! The Holy Stones want me around! THEY DO!" Lilith wiped the tears from her eyes after Eden left. "ENOUGH!" The ground shook from her scream. "Yes. Euryale's betrayal is sad. It's depressing. It hurts even ME, a descendant of a GOD!" She stands up as all the horses run up to their owners. The sun shines behind Lilith, as if she were an eternal being. "But Euryale isn't all that we have. All we have is each other. There isn't anything else in the world that could have what WE have!" She climbed onto her horse. "We protect this planet from evil. That's who we are! No matter who betrays us, or who dies, we have no choice but to keep on going! Or.." She prepared to take off. "Or we'll end up like them." This brightened everyone up. They all wiped their tears. They got up and got on their horses. "Yeah! How else am I able to enjoy my pastries?!" Rem smiled. "I have to keep going. I'M STRONG!" Ruthven flexed. "You have a hell of a way with words, commander." Akuji patted her on the back. "I'll.. kill them all. I will avenge Viola."
"My soldiers.. no, my friends.. GO!" All 5 of their horses sprinted ahead. Lilith always had a way to cheer them up. They didn't have much left until Kraghon. They had one more soldier station to get to. This would be their final battle before the end of the war. At least, they hope. While galloping, Naphtali looked to his left to see Eden's body. A spear through her chest. Bleeding out of her mouth, and through the hole in her chest. She was laying in the snow, and there was no chance she survived. He grabbed onto his chest, where his heart was, and fell off his horse, into the freezing snow. "GNH.. ah.. ha..." The Holy Stones noticed and turned around for him. They were saying something. He couldn't understand or hear them. His breathing was getting heavier and harder to breathe. "Ha.. ah.. ha.. h-" Blackout. Naphtali passed out.
He woke up in a grass field. He saw a young Eden, Faolan and himself playing in the flowers with a football. As he tried to reach out to them, he tried to warn them. "LISTEN TO ME! DONT START A WA-" He opened his eyes, and saw the Holy Stones above him. "H.. Huh?" He covered the sun with his hand, as he was getting blinded. He sat up. "What.. happened to me?" He grabbed his head. "Ow.. I have a headache." "You had a panic attack, Nap." Rem placed her hand on his cheek. "It seems like seeing Eden's body.. brought something out in you. Do you remember anything that happened while you were passed out?" She looked into his eyes. "Yeah, yeah.. I think so. I was.. in the past. I saw.. me, Eden and.." He looked down. "And.. Faolan? Was that his name?" He shook his head. "Anyway, we were.. on a grass hill. Running around in the flowers.. it's just like.. when I was a kid." Rem helped Naphtali stand up. "You okay to fight?" Asked Ruthven. ".. Fight?" Ruthven pointed toward the final soldier station.
