Dani rode her bike to the HardDeck. She saw anothero bike in the parking lot. She new right away who's it was. She sat on her bike for a minute till a blue bronco parked next to her. Dani rolled her eyes.
"Ah I see you waited." Bradley joked.
"Haha. Sure Rooster." Dani joked. Bradley walked over.
"No really why are you sitting out here?" He asked, placing his hands in his pockets.
"I guess a little nervous." Dani looked back at the ocean.
"Come on! Rebel never gets nervous." Dani looked back at him. "Come on." He patted her shoulder. "Everyone is in there." Bradley said. Dani got off her bike, adjusting her bomber jacket. They walked into the bar.Across the bar Sat Maverick. He watched as the two walked in. Penny the owner of the bar saw this. They way the two walked were just like their parents. Penny couldn't believe Dani walked around with her bomber jacket. Bradley dressed in a Hawaiian shirt. Maverick hasn't seen his daughter in how many years. He felt like he was looking in a mirror.
Dani and Bradley walked over to a group of aviators.
"I bet 20 bucks, someone is going get thrown out here?" Dani smirked looking up at Bradley.
"No. This is going to be a good night." Bradley smiled. Dani chuckled.
"MITCHELL! BRADSHAW!" They heard Phoenix yell. Nat and Dani have been friends since TOPGUN. Now their back. Maverick looked back at the two. "Is that you?" Phoenix asked smiling. "This is how I find out you're stateside?" Phoenix joked.
"Yeah, I just thought I'd surprise you. Hmm." Bradley joked back. Phoenix smiled at Dani. She smiled back, completely not in the mood for any of this.
"I guess I surprised you back." Phoenix joked.
"It's good to see you two."
"Good to see you too." Dani said.
"Here you go." Phoenix handed Dani a beer.
"Bradshaw. Mitchell. As I live and breathe." Hangman said.
"Hangman." Dani and Bradley said.
"You look... good." Bradley spoke.
"Well, I am good, Rooster. I'm very good. In fact, I am too good to be true." Hangman said with an annoying smile.
"So, anybody know what this special detachment is all about?" Dani asked.
"No, mission's a mission. They don't confront me.
What I want to know: Who's gonna be team leader?" Hangman went on. "And which one of y'all has what it takes to follow me?" Hangman asked.
"Hangman, the only place you'll lead anyone is an early grave." Bradley spoke.
"Whoo!" Everyone said.
"Well, anyone who follows you is just gonna run out of fuel. But that's just you, ain't it, Rooster? You're snug on that perch, waiting for just the right moment...That never comes." Hangman got in Bradley's face. Dani looked at Hangman.
"At least going ballistic is better than being dead."Dani said. Hangman got in her face. Slow ride played in the background.
"I love this song!" Hangman said then walked away."Well, he hasn't changed." Bradley said. Dani took a sip of her beer.
"Nope. Sure hasn't." Dani spoke. Bradley turned to her.
"I'll be right back." He said with a smirk. Music stops playing from the jut-box. Customers protesting because of the silence. Someone starts playing piano.
Everyone one looked. It was Bradley. Phoenix walked up next to Dani.
"Doesn't he ever embarrass you?" She asked. Dani smiled shaking her head no.
"Rooster?" She looked at Phoenix. "Hell no." Dani smiled. Dani looked around. Rooster still playing around on the piano.
"Well I'm going to go embarrass my self with Rooster." Dani joked before she walked over to Rooster. She patted his shoulder. He smiled up at her. Piano playing continues."How about..." Maverick counts his money.
"That won't cover it." Penny said. Piano continues.
"Uh, I'll come by tomorrow and bring you the cash." Mave said.
"I'm afraid rules are rules, Pete." Penny smiled.
Bell ringing. They took Maverick and through him out."you shake my nerves and you rattle my brain." Rooster and Dani started. "too much love drives a man insane, you broke my will but what a thrill!"
"goodness gracious great balls of fire!" Dani and Rooster leaned into each other. Maverick saw this and saw himself and Goose. The way they sang together was just like how they used too."I laughed at love 'cause I thought it was funny but you came along and you moved me, honey !" Bradley looked back to Dani then back to the keys.
"I changed my mind this love is fine! goodness gracious great balls of fire!" Everyone sang.
"Kiss me, baby!" Bradley sang, while tapping his cheek. Dani shook her head before kissing his cheek.
"Ahay!" Dani laughed. Rooster copied her.
"goodness gracious great balls of fire!" They both sang. Bradley looked back to Dani. She smiled.
"I haven't sang that in a while." Rooster spoke.
"I haven't heard it i a while. Thank you." Dani said.
"And I'll need that 20 dollars." Dani walked over to the bar. Bradley shook his head smiling, taking out his wallet. He gave her the 20$.Dani walked over to the bar. Penny walked over. She stopped in her tracks.
"Shit." Penny whispered under her breath. She swear it looked like Pete Maverick Mitchell sitting there, again. Penny stood in front of Dani behind the bar.
"What can I get ya?" Penny asked. Dani looked up.
"Can I get a beer. Doesn't matter what you have." Dani said. Penny nodded going back to get a beer. Penny grabbed one that she knew Pete would like. Penny walked back.
"Here ya go." Penny placed the beer down. Penny looked at Dani's patches on her bomber jacket.
"Rebel Mitchell?" Penny asked questioning. Dani looked up from her beer.
"Yeah." Dani smiled. It was that damn smile her father had. "Got it from my dad. Called me Rebel."
"You related to Maverick Mitchell." Penny asked.
Dani had a smaller shocked face.
"I'm not going to lie to you ma'am... he is my father." Dani spoke. Penny nodded.
"Well your dad just got kicked out." Penny chuckled.
"Well then i guess he's the reason I one a bet tonight." Dani joked. They both laughed. Bradley walked over.
"Ey 'Bel." Bradley placed a hand on her shoulder. Bradley sat down. Dani took a sip of her beer.
"What a night. Lost a game of pool to Phoenix, Bagman is here, I wonder what tomorrows gonna be like." Bradley said. Dani gave a smile.
"As long as I'm able to fly. Im good." Dani joked.
