So-hee had locked herself in her now empty room as soon as she found out Juseok was coming over with the official renewed contract.
The rest of them were supposed to sign it and Juseok would check it once before taking it back to the CEO. She didn't want to see their hesitant faces and change her mind.
She was on the brink of insanity, the contract she got from P-Nation was just sitting there on her desk, untouched. Her phone kept blasting up with calls every five minutes from various companies.
She looked at her desk and slumps, making her way towards it. Pulling out her chair, she took a seat and grabbed a pen and paper.
A proper goodbye to army was necessary. She couldn't just not thank them one last time for all the support and love they gave her.
She gulps harshly, her eyes welling up as she could hear Juseok's voice in the living room, and she knew they'll be soon signing the contract.
With each word, tears escape her eyes to the end of the heart-felt letter, she folds it carefully after taking a picture and placing it on the desk.
She grabbed her own contract, forcing herself to read through it. Why does it have to be this way? She blinks, fresh hot tears streaming down her face.
It was deadly quiet in the living room, she hoped they'll sign it. They had to, or else she won't be able to forgive herself.
Gripping the pen in her hand, she got up and made her way towards the door, leaning against it as she tried to hear anything.
Wiping her tears away, she decided to step out and just face it. What's the worst that might happen? Everything went downhill anyway.
Snatching the contract, she opened the door and stepped out. " Oh, So-hee. " She looked up to see Jimin, his eyes red and a forced smile on his face.
" Y-You're supposed to sign a document too. Something about you agreeing to leave. " He muttered, grabbing her hand.
" But I didn't though. " her voice cracked and Jimin gave her pained look, feeling equally helpless and hopeless.
The two make their way towards the living room and Juseok waiting for her with a contract already extended.
She glanced at the rest of them, similar messy appearances and regret clear on their faces. So they signed the contract.
She sighs softly, the heavy feeling only intensifying in her heart, digging a deeper hole instead of filling the void with relief.
She skimmed her eyes over the context and details on the paper, taking the pen as she tried not to show her shaky hands. After reading it thoughroughly, she signed it, her heart breaking.
It was so burdensome, the feeling of agreeing to leave the group, of deciding to stay away from them.
Once she was done, she slams the file shut and hands it over without glancing at the manager, he wasn't her manager anymore.
