The room was spinning. Marinette coughed, choking on a thick, unidentifiable scent that filled her lungs. She was still on the floor, pain jolting up her legs from her fall. Although she wasn't standing, she feared she might collapse even further.
The whole room was enveloped in a thick red cloud. She could hardly see through it. Ever so slowly, it cleared, breaking apart and becoming invisible. At Marinette's feet laid a puddle of clear liquid. The perfume had lost its color. The small pool sat amongst the glass shards.
What have I done? Marinette wondered, dazed. She blinked, her eyes aching. What was in that perfume?
She blinked several more times and glanced around. Everyone in the room had collapsed and were currently sprawled on the floor, unconscious. A blush crept into her cheeks as her eyes landed on the sleeping form of Adrien.
Oh no! she thought, realizing he wasn't merely asleep. She surged forward, the room swaying and tilting around her until she found she was lying face down on the ground, her arms outstretched in a weak attempt to reach him.
"A... Adrien," she mumbled, peeling herself off the floor and onto her knees. She crawled forward, not steady enough to stand. For what seemed like the millionth time, she wondered what could have possibly been in that perfume.
"Adrien?" she cried, her voice hoarse. She was about to shake him awake before her fingers hesitated in the air. Her heart galloped uncontrollably, the sight of Adrien making her even dizzier.
She swallowed her hesitation and tentatively placed her hands on his arm. She shook him as gently as she could. His eyelids fluttered and she breathed a sigh of relief. His face was so calm and peaceful, she tried her hardest not to stare at it.
Adrien's not the only one in this room, she reminded herself. She slowly climbed to her feet, wavering dangerously. She took wobbly steps, stopping at everyone in the room and lightly shaking them awake. She stopped last at Lila, considering leaving her there on the floor, discarded like the piece of trash she was.
I'm not like her. I know that's exactly what she would do to me. Gritting her teeth, she swallowed her resentment and bent down over Lila. In the end, she couldn't find the will to be kind, so she slapped her cheeks angrily.
"Uuuuuh..." Lila groaned, squeezing her eyes shut tighter. Marinette slapped her again, harder this time. Her eyes snapped open and locked with Marinette's.
Her green eyes widened, pupils heavily dilated. She stared at Marinette, incapable of looking away. She instantly forgot the last few minutes - Marinette grabbing the perfume and breaking it- lost in the sight of her. She was so... beautiful.
Lila lurched forward, taking Marinette by surprise. She practically threw herself into Marinette's lap, snaking her arms around her. Marinette smelled so good... wonderful, really. She was still the same annoyingly intuitive Marinette, but she was also gorgeous, sexy Marinette.
Lila's lips traveled along her neck, tongue running along her skin. Marinette froze, stunned. Lila hungrily kissed her, her lips navigating to her face and wandering along her cheekbones.
"Lila! What the hell?" she exclaimed, suddenly shoving her away. Lila toppled to the floor, but she couldn't remember to be offended. Instead, her eyes were locked on Marinette, and she desperately tried to control herself. Her hands gripped the floor, trying to hold herself in place, but she still found she was inching closer against her better judgement.
"Get away from me!" Marinette shouted more forcefully, scooting violently away. Her pulse thrummed in her ears. She stood up, spinning around and almost colliding with someone.
Arms firmly grabbed her shoulders, stabilizing her. Her eyes caught sight of sandy blonde hair, flashing green eyes. Those eyes were wide, laden with desire, staring at her as if he was afraid to look away.
"Adri-"
He put a finger on her lips, silencing her. She instantly realized it wasn't Adrien, it was Felix. He pulled her in closer and pressed their lips together, kissing her gently but hungrily, not at all how she'd expected Felix to kiss.
His lips were warm and moist, and she almost kissed back. But then, frightened and bewildered, she pushed him away too.
"Mari," he breathed, snatching her wrist. "Come here." He stepped forward again, unable to resist her and her bluebell eyes. Her heart pounded. She shook her arm free and stepped back.
Right into Luka. His arms caught her. Why did he always catch her when she fell?
He buried his nose in the back of her neck, inhaling deeply. She smelled amazing. She was amazing. He wanted her so badly. Why did she have to love that blind dumb Adrien?
He kissed her, gently, letting the sound of her heart flood his senses. She froze in his grasp, frightened and feeling quite alone despite all the attention. What was going on?
She broke free of his grasp, charging towards the door. She glanced over her shoulder to see everyone was following her. Her fingers fumbled dumbly with the handle as she desperately tried to escape.
The door swung open, but not at her hand. Chloe stood at its threshold and Marinette had never been so relieved to see her. "Chloe!" she gasped, slightly afraid she would start trying to make out with her too.
"Marinette?" she quirked a brow. "What's going on?" Her eyes narrowed. "Are you okay? Did something happen?"
"Help me," Marinette hissed, her hands trembling. She darted out of the room and slammed the door shut.
"What's going on?" Chloe demanded and Marinette was thankful when she didn't move towards her.
"I-I don't know." She sighed and decided she had no choice but to confess. "I-I might have broken... I um... I broke your perfume bottle."
Chloe's eyes widened in shock and she gasped. "You did what? Do you know how expensive that is? It even hurt me to buy it! I'll never be able to get another one!"
"I know," Marinette said. "I'm sorry. But I don't think you'd want to use it."
"And why is that?" she asked angrily.
The door opened and a sense of dread fell over her. "Marinette," a voice sighed dreamily. It was Kagami. She took Marinette by the waist and kissed her deeply.
