Marinette's breath caught in her throat. Chloe's lips met hers and her eyes fluttered shut. She thought she should have probably had enough kissing with all she'd endured yesterday. But she'd never been so close to Chloe. Never close enough to realize she needed it her this badly.
Chloe's lips teased hers open. Her tongue traced the surface of her lips, then found her teeth. Her hand slid over Marinette's waist, setting her skin on fire. Her knees felt wobbly, but in the most satisfactory of ways.
Chloe pulled away all too soon, her lips lingering by Marinette's face. "Let's do this again soon," she whispered to a furiously blushing Marinette.
"Erm... um..."
She put a gentle finger against her lips. "We better be getting back now."
Chloe took her hand, and they walked in silence. No one seemed to notice them, but Chloe was all Marinette could see. Life had been... confusing to say the least. Their footsteps were the only sounds passing between them until the bell rang at the door of Marinette's bakery.
"Marinette!" Tom Dupain greeted her warmly from where he stood behind the counter. "Chloe. Welcome back girls. Can I get you anything to eat?"
"No thanks, Dad," Marinette told him, darting up to kiss his cheeks. When she pulled away, her eyes sought Chloe, and there was a new, arousing confidence in them. Her cheeks reddened and she bit down on her lip. Chloe felt a sharp stab of desire.
"Chloe and I are going to go upstairs," Marinette announced, cheeks slightly red, eyebrow raised seductively. "We have some... stuff we need to do."
Tom nodded and returned to his baking, oblivious to the blossoming romance. Marinette spun around and headed for her room, leaving Chloe with no choice but to follow. She did. Finally, the trapdoor fell shut and they were both alone.
Chloe didn't waste any time. Before either of them knew what was happening, Marinette was pressed against her desk with Chloe kissing her. Pleasure rippled down her spine. The reality of her situation fell on her.
This was the work of no perfume. Chloe wanted her, was kissing her of her own volition.
Chloe's tongue sent jolts of unwavering pleasure coursing through her, her touch sending Marinette spiraling into bouts of desire. Chloe's hands were on her waist, then slid down her leg. She lifted her onto the table, neither of them noticing the computer behind them.
She kissed Marinette hungrily, her lips traveling across her jaw, her teeth occasionally nibbling on her skin. Her tongue traveled along her flesh.
"Mmmm," Marinette moaned, hungry for more. She didn't know what was wrong with her or how her supposedly free weekend had escalated so quickly. And she didn't care. All she wanted was more.
She took Chloe's hand and slowly, deliberately guided it along her body. Her other hand twitched in anticipation. Excitement and adrenaline coursed through her veins.
Click.
Her computer flashed to life, but it took her a moment to notice. Nadia Chamack's face entered the screen. Marinette could almost feel Chloe rolling her eyes behind her lids. She grunted as if the sounds from the computer annoyed her but continued on. Marinette was more important than a TV broadcast.
Marinette attempted to tune out the news, but the word 'akuma' caught her attention.
"This morning, five seventeen-year-olds have been akumatized by the notorious villain Hawkmoth. The victims include the famous Adrien Agreste and his visiting cousin, Felix. The other victims of the attack include Lila Rossi, Kagami Tsurugi, and Luka Couffiane. Apparently, this whole situation is from the disappearance of Marinette Dupain-Cheng, whom they are currently scouring the city for."
Marinette reluctantly pulled her face away.
"What?" Chloe asked, not bothering to hide the annoyance in her voice. She didn't like being interrupted, especially when things were really getting interesting.
Marinette considered her options. She needed to get out there and deakumatize them. As much fun as she was having, being Paris's hero was her priority. Though she wanted nothing more than to stay in her room, locked away with Chloe, her obligations were too imperative.
That said, she could give Chloe her bee miraculous.
But how could she excuse herself and slip back in to give it to her in the first place? She could say she was going out to help as Marinette because the whole thing was about her in the first place. It wasn't far from the truth.
Or she could remain in her room and continue as if she'd never heard the news broadcast at all. Maybe Hawkmoth would get bored.
"Are you seriously stopping because of an akumazation?" Chloe demanded, eager to resume losing herself in the presence of Marinette.
"I have to," she blurted before she thought.
Chloe narrowed her eyes. "What does that mean?" she asked, pulling back. Marinette ached to bring her closer, but she allowed her to go. Chloe flopped down onto her chair and Marinette slumped on her desk.
Marinette remembered yesterday's events. Chloe had gone out of her way to protect Marinette. Would it really hurt to have an ally?
She wouldn't even tell her own crime-fighting partner her identity. Why did she so desperately want to spill her truth to Chloe, then crawl into her arms and kiss the words out of her mind?
Maybe she thought Chloe would find the idea sexy. And the idea of Chloe as Queen Bee was enough to make her tingle.
She'd do it. She'd tell Chloe and they'd go save Paris together. Then they'd return here, and things would take their course.
She slid off the desk, her eyes trained on Chloe's. Her heart was racing but she didn't allow her nervousness to be visible. Chloe watched her expectantly, gaze continuously returning to her pale pink lips as they were begging her to act.
Marinette moved so she was standing over Chloe. She rested her hands on either side of her, placing them on both armrests. Chloe stared up at her, curious as to what direction this was going.
"It's a secret, really," Marinette began in her most seductive voice, which must have been quite effective because Chloe almost moaned with want. She ran her finger down Chloe's lips, parting her own in a heated, scorching look.
"But I'll tell you." She took a few steps back, closed her eyes, and declared, "Tikki, spots on!"
