Day 7: ✨🧟Video Games🧟✨

Luke was sitting in the living room, waiting for Zander. He was sitting on the floor in front of the TV, which had only his favorite video game PHOBIAS start screen on it. "Zander! Are you almost done? You've been taking some time there, should I be concerned?", asked Luke. "I'm almost ready Luke! I have to wash my hands!"replied Zander. After a few minutes, Zander came out of the bathroom.

"Sorry I took so long", said Zander. "It's alright", said Luke. "Take a seat". Zander sat down next to Luke and looked at the TV screen. "Luke, what is that?", Zander asked, pointing to the screen. "Oh, that's the video game we're going to be playing today", said Luke. "Why is it called Phobias?", asked Zander. "Well, you're basically stuck in this haunted mansion, with a few other players. The goal of the game is to get out of the mansion without getting killed ", replied Luke. "But, since the mansion was designed to not make it easy for anyone to escape, each door has something that someone could be afraid of. Even if you aren't afraid of what's behind the door, it still could be pretty scary". "Also, even if you escape, you have to do the same thing for ten nights". "Do you get to choose a door?", asked Zander.

"Yes, but no. The game gives you two options, you and the other players have to vote on which door you'll go through", said Luke. Zander nodded. "Okay, seems alright", said Zander. "Alright, ready to play? A new game starts in a minute", said Luke. "Ready". Luke hit the start button and a new screen appeared on the TV. It turned all black with red words on it. 'Be prepared to face your greatest fear'. Zander shuddered a bit. Luke noticed this and put a hand on his shoulder. "Don't be scared, once you get used to the game, it's actually quite fun!", said Luke. Zander nodded and they proceeded with the game.

Everything went black again, and it switched to a scene which looked like we were blinking our eyes open. When everything was clear again, they saw themselves and a few other players in a dark room. The other players were chatting and talking about something. "Looks like the game's just started", said Luke. "Is it always like this?", asked Zander. "Pretty much", replied Luke. "Alright everyone", said player #1. "The game is going to reveal the phobias soon". "Alright, you ready Zander?", asked Luke. "Yeah, I'm ready", replied Zander. "In 3...2...1. And it's Acrophobia, fear of heights, and Arachnophobia, fear of spiders", said player #2. Both Zander and Luke's faces turned as white as paper. "WHAT?!".

"Oh, that's not so bad", said player #5. Luke started to type. "No way! I have a reset phobias power-up! Can't we use that?", asked Luke. "You have a reset fear power-up? You can't use that now! Those are super valuable, use it when you actually need it", said the player. "B-but". "Okay, I say we vote Acrophobia, it's not as scary as spiders", said player #2. "All in favor, say yes", said player #3. "Yes", said every player but Zander and Luke.

"Player #6 and player #7", we're waiting", said player #4. "Luke, you're terrified of heights, maybe we should just leave this game", said Zander. "It's alright Zander, I haven't done this before, besides, it can't be that bad, right?", said Luke. "if you say so", said Zander. "Yes", typed Zander. Luke hesitated, and then took a deep breath. "Yes", he typed. "Great, now we can start", said player #4. The screen changed again. This time, it showed a door. A sign appeared on it. 'Acrophobia: Fear of heights' it read. The door creaked open, and then they were being pulled inside.

Behind the door was a very tall building, and below was a bustling city. There was a creepy aura to the city though, it wasn't actually bright, and energetic. Of course there were things going on down there, but the feel of the city just wasn't right. "Well, we're here", said Luke. "It can't be that bad, I mean, it's just a game, it's not like I'm actually there in real life", said Luke. "Yeah", said Zander. "Hey, you guys", said player #1. "Yeah?", asked player #3. "There's a note on the ground". "It says we all have to jump off the building and land on the trampoline below". "What if we don't make the landing?", asked Zander. "Then you'll die", replied player #1.

"We'll go in order of our numbers", said player #4. "Phew", said Luke. "I'm going to be last". "Alright player #1, you're up", said player #5. Player #1 walked up to the edge of the building. After a few seconds, they jumped off. "Did they survive?", asked player #2. "I'm okay guys", said player #1, in the chat. It went the same way for every other player until it was Luke's turn. "Luke, you ready?", asked Zander. "Yeah. I'm ready", croaked Luke. He made his player walk up to the edge of the building. He was wrong about earlier, it really did feel like he was there. He was even starting to get dizzy. "Come on player #7, jump!", said player #5. "Alright, here goes nothing", said Luke. He made his character jump, and suddenly, he was falling, falling, falling down.

Hey guys! Sorry that I didn't upload this chapter sooner! I've just been busy with school stuff, I also haven't been getting any suggestions on oneshots, and it's a little hard to think of halloween oneshots, so I'm sorry if this chapter is crappy, I hope I can write a better one next time. Also, if you guys have any ideas for a oneshot, please reply to my post. I hope you enjoyed this chapter.
