"Caroline sent me a message," I said

All of a sudden it became tense in the car. I knew even if they said they like my friends, they are lying. I know they don't like my friends especially because they hurt me, that's the biggest offense to them. Especially because it is a soulmate's natural instinct to want to protect their mate. Add in the memory swiping and everything else. But they liked Bonnie, Enzo, and Jeremy. They secretly love Jordan the most even if they deny it.

"She said that she and everyone hoped I was well and they invited me out to eat with them all tomorrow if I want and she added no pressure," I said

"Should I go?" I said

"Abbie, I don't trust any of them apart from Bonnie, Enzo, Jeremy, and Jordan. So if they are there, we will all be reassured of your safety," Finn said

"Plus you're a vampire now and a lot stronger than any of them almost with a bit of training," Bekah said

"But don't force yourself to go if you don't want to. Go because you want to because if you don't we can have a night in if you want" Lijah said

"We don't want to stop you from going out with your friends. Yes, you are our mate, but we do not own you. You're your own person and our equal so we will support you no matter what you decide. But promise us one thing. Promise me one thing" Nik said

"Yes of course," I said

"The minute you feel uncomfortable or you need to leave, come home or call one of us. I don't care what time it is or what I or any of us are doing. If you need one or more of us we will be there, I will. I will not rest till you are safe back here or until I know where you are and you're safe." Nik said

"I promise, I think I need to go. I cannot avoid them forever. By I will keep updating you guys so you know I am safe. Thank you, guys, for being supportive" I said smiling

"Of course Abbie, we may not always be good at giving advice or talking about our feelings but we will always try to give you the best advice and support you where we can and be clear about our feelings about you," Lijah said

I pulled out my phone and texted Caroline back.

I text her: 'Hey, I am well thank you. I hope you all are too. That sounds good just let me know the time'

I sent the message and my phone away. My eyelids felt heavy.

"Sleep Abbie, we will let you know when we arrive," Bekah said

I nodded and snuggled into the seat and shut my eyes.

Stefan's pov

I was lying on the sofa with Caroline between my arms. We were all at my house. Damon was with Jordan next to us. Jeremy, Tyler, and the others were spread out across the room. We were just doing our own things. Caroline sighed in my arms. I caressed her hair softly and kissed the top of her.

"What are you thinking about?" I whispered

"Well as we are all going out tomorrow, we should invite Abbie. I want to, we should. We all need to make it up to her" Caroline said

"I don't have to make it up to her" Jordan laughed

"Neither do we," Bonnie said

"We were nice to her" Enzo laughed

"I don't either so just you guys" Jeremy laughed

"Haha, thank you for reminding us," Lena said

"Your welcome," Jordan said and smiled
