--- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ---Sunny's eyes opened, only for him to close them again, he rubbed his head, sitting up slowly, and blinking a couple of times to clear his blurry vision, he had a headache, one where you could feel a painful sensation at the back of your head. He looked up, and the voices around him began to tune in.
"....y?...unny? Sunshine? Helloooo? Are you there?" A voice said, and a familiar face was the first thing Sunny saw, it was Kel again, who was waving his hand in front of Sunny's face repeatedly. "Hey! Good morning! Are you okay? You look like you've seen a ghost!" The taller boy joked, and Sunny shook his head, still coming to terms with what he had previously experienced during his rest, "No, I'm fine.."
Kel sat there for a few seconds but shrugged, deciding to drop it and move on to a different topic, "Great. I've already finished two plates of bacon and I'm on to a third!"
Hero, who was walking into the room with another smoking plate of bacon, gave a small frown. "This is your last plate, Kel. You need to leave some for the others."
"But I can't help it! Your bacon is so good." The younger brother replied, grinning as he took the plate out of his brother's hands. "No, you just can't help it because you're greedy." Aubrey chortled, and Kel immediately threw a piece of bacon at the girl's hair, causing it to get trapped in strands of pink locks. That probably wasn't a great idea. "WHAT THE FUCK, KEL?" She yelled, grimacing and separating her hair from the piece of bacon and throwing it back at the basketballer. Hero picked it up before Kel decided to throw it back again, and he dropped it into the bucket bin beside him. "Guys, don't play with the food! You're old enough to know that." He frowned, furrowing his eyebrows. "And Aubrey, I know Sally isn't home but try to watch your language." His expression turned to just a playful smile to show he wasn't angry. Aubrey had a look of embarrassment on her face as she apologized sheepishly, "My bad, sorry."
Sunny knew Hero was a very patient person, Hero had said he had missed Aubrey and Kel's fights over the years, but now it seemed as if he was beginning to regret it. Sometimes they could just be so immature, and sometimes it was even like they were even more childish than they were at the age of 12, so it wouldn't be a surprise if Hero just snapped one day...
"Well, I'm old enough. But maybe Kel isn't." The delinquent glared, and Kel chewed his bacon angrily, yelling out, "What!? I'm literally older than you!" with his mouth full.
"Oh god almighty," Hero muttered under his breath with an exhausted sigh. Kel and Aubrey decided to drop the argument, and Sunny took a few minutes to be able to process what was going on. He was still a little dizzy, and he was only beginning to get up. "Hey-" Kel spoke between chews. "Where's Hector? He hasn't touched his food bowl all morning."
Hero rose a brow and looked around, before being startled by the aforementioned dog rushing through into the living room from the hallway that lead to the staircase and bumping into a table with a vase. The bump caused the vase to wobble slightly, and if it weren't for Hero who held it still, it would have smashed into the ground and the brothers' parents would be furious. Luckily, they weren't here. "How did that get there, buddy?" Kel asked, putting his plate of bacon down and going over to aid his beloved canine who was unable to see because of the random popcorn tub stuck on his head. "He was probably digging through our leftover popcorn tubs, and that's why he didn't touch his food bowl, he ate all the popcorn." Hero guessed, resting his hands on his hips with a smile as he watched the dog attempt to pounce up at Kel.
Kel looked down at the dog with a goofy smile, "So that's where the tubs went!" He laughed, taking one of the said tubs off of Hector's head, revealing his chubby face, the pet made a face that said he didn't have a thought in the world. And he didn't. Kel went to throw the tub away and he came back to the couch to sit next to Sunny again once Hector had run off.
