ELARA HADN'T SPOKE TO Klaus since the morning and she was fine with it. Elara had laid Hope down and was getting ready to sleep. She went to go check on Hope one final time.
She saw a figure standing over the baby's crib. "Get away from her," she grabbed the woman throwing her. She went towards Hope before her body was thrown.
"Rebekah! What are you doing?" She heard her husband, it was soon followed by his screams. Elara's head was on fire with the magic of the witch.
Klaus scratched her, weakening her. She fled out of the window resuming the full strength to the hybrids. They both stood grabbing the crib staring at their baby.
Hope held her bear completely oblivious to everything.
"What the hell?"
Klaus walked to the side taking Hope out of her bed. "I'll rid of the dead werewolf," he handed Elara their daughter.
"Nik—," he shook his head. "I know, love. I know," he kissed her head before Elara went into the bedroom closing all of the doors.
The next morning the family was up with plans to help Rebekah and keep Hope safe.
"I should stop packing these away. There's always one family member or another in need of a good shackling." Klaus handed the witch shackles to Marcel. "Find Rebekah, or Eva, or whoever the bloody hell that was. Use these to stop her from doing magic and don't hurt her."
Elara turned to the side as Hayley walked in. "Hey," Hayley squeezed Elara's shoulder. "Hi." Klaus looked at the sisters. "Go to Elijah. Get him to charm his elderly witch into calling off the hunt."
Elara raised her eyebrows. "And leave Hope? Don't you think I should stay and protect our daughter?"
"Go, stay. Either way, you're protecting her. Jackson has the compound surrounded by his werewolf army, not to mention I'll be here."
Elara rolled her eyes. "And what will you be doing while we're out doing all the dirt?" Hayley asked him.
"The even dirtier work."
Elara shook her head. "I'm gonna hitch with you," she followed Hayley out. "He's so scared he's convinced Hope is only safe with him. I'm scared Hayley. He's never been like this."
Hayley laughed, "I find that hard to believe."
"I'm serious. Klaus has done a lot of things in the name of family, but this— this is for Hope. His daughter. Our miracle baby. He's so afraid he's gonna lose her, he's ready to risk everything. Everything, Hayley."
She looked at Elara getting what she was saying.
Klaus would sacrifice any and everything for Hope. Even his own family and she was starting to think that included her. Although understandable because she's their child, it's both of their jobs to keep her safe. But knowing that one person holds so much power over the people who love her is scary because no one really knows just how crazy a parent's love is.
