JACK STOOD AT THE window in his Sister's room. He stood just looking out of it while Hope laid on the bed blasting music in her headphones.

A song so familiar to them.

He closed his eyes and saw a glimpse of his father covered in blood, surrounded by dead bodies.

He still remembered the look on Klaus's face when he saw them. How he no longer looked like the man who told him bedtime stories about brave knights and taught him to tie his shoes. This was a different man entirely.

His father's shouts echoed through his mind causing him to break his eyes open.

He looked back at his big sister who was already looking at him. She moved over in her bed to make room for him to come lay beside her.

They didn't cuddle like when they were kids, but they both still found comfort just laying in the same bed with the other at arm's reach.

Downstairs Freya sat alone on the couch until she heard the foreign voice call from behind her. She stood with an astonished look on her face.

"The years have been kind to you," he took in how beautiful his older sister looked.

She smiled and wrapped her arms around him. "Well, you know, just sunblock, the love of a good woman, and literal witchcraft. Although, nothing can get rid of the wrinkles your wife causes."

The smiles on their faces dropped at the mention of his missing wife, which brought back her memory of the kids upstairs.

"You can't stay. Hope and Jack are home."

"I have no interest in infecting my children with this darkness. Once we find their mother I'll crawl back to whence I came from." Klaus looked around the home he missed so much. "Freya, this city reeks of blood like it hasn't since the war of 1812."

"Yeah, well, you're to blame this time. I know you spoke with Elijah and then hours later it rained red."

"No story that begins with water turning to blood has ever ended in triumph. I need to leave or things are gonna get worse."

Klaus gritted his teeth together. "Tell me about Elara."

Freya started to explain how one moment Elara was here and the next she was gone and no locator spell had worked.

Hope was upstairs when she saw the flowers on her bedside, from her brother, quickly die.

Jack looked and shook his head, "No."

Hope jumped from bed taking off out of the room. Jack rolled his eyes while staring at the ceiling, he wasn't moving for even a glimpse of that man.

Hope's feet padded against the floor as she ran down the steps to meet her father. By the time she got there, he was gone.
