3rd POV

In the evening, Itadori was in the middle of signing paperwork at the main reception while his childhood friend was sitting in the middle of the empty seats when there was more unoccupied seats around her. (Y/n) stares at the bag that contains Erica's belongings, her head swarming with endless thoughts which couldn't seem to stop. (Y/n) winces when she felt a sharp pain stinging on the side of her head. 'Man, I really need to get a goodnight's rest. No matter what state I'm in.' she thought, releasing a heavy sigh.

At the reception, the nurse who was with Itadori couldn't help but overlook the boy's shoulder from time to time, seeing the distraught settle on her features. The nurse couldn't help but feel bad for the girl. "Is she alright?" the nurse whispers to Itadori. Itadori looks up at the nurse then at his friend who was unaware of them staring, her gaze was solely focused on the yellow bag that contains Erica's belongings. "honestly, she hasn't said a word all night. If Erica-san was here, she'd slap her for sure, and I'd have a troublesome time breaking that up." Itadori sweatdrops, but that didn't stop a small, but sincere smile growing on his lips.

"But I'm grateful that they both came into my life." Itadori said. The nurse felt relieved to hear that, the nurses in the hospital could agree that the energetic girl had indeed graced the halls with her enthusiasm. The nurse decided to ask Yuji the same question about his grandfather's passing. If Yuji was honest, the passing of his grandfather hadn't truly sunk in yet unlike Erica's. If Wasuke saw his grandson crying over his death, he'd snap at him for sure. So, he'll just have to laugh the matter off like it was nothing.

The nurse wanted to ask Itadori what he meant by that, but the woman was cut off by another voice.

"It's Itadori Yuji, right?"

Itadori turns to look at the stranger who's his age, slightly taller than him, unkempt raven hair that would remind Itadori of a sea urchin, and he was wearing a school uniform, but Itadori couldn't seem figure out where in Sendai. Upon mentioning Itadori's name, (Y/n) pulls out of her thoughts and stands up from her seat, grabbing her sister's belongings and made her way to the two young boys as Fushiguro glances at her. "And Reiki (Y/n), correct?" (Y/n) nods, slightly tilting her head. "Yes, and who are you?" (Y/n) asks, narrowing her eyes at Fushiguro.

The nurse was utterly confused but she decided that it would be best to not ask and take her leave with Itadori's paperwork. "I'm Fushiguro Megumi, from Jujutsu Tech. I'm sorry but I don't have much time to explain, but you'll have to listen carefully." Fushiguro said. (Y/n) arches a brow, crossing her arms over her chest, staring hard at the boy. The name Fushiguro sounded familiar to her, but she probably heard the name from some tv show she saw once. But the name certainly rings a bell...

Fushiguro pulled out his phone and showed them an image of a wooden box and with the cursed object. "Do any of you recognize the image?" Itadori and (Y/n) looked at each other before looking at the image, Fushiguro hears (Y/n)'s breath hitch slightly at the image but (Y/n) quickly recovered from it as she shook her head, leaning away. She'd be lying if seeing that same wooden box still crept her out. But while inspecting the picture, her eyes also lands on a button with a swirl engrave on the navy haired boy's uniform, silently confirming her suspicions of "Jujutsu Tech".

"Um, kind of. Yuji and I found it...why exactly do you need it Fushiguro?" (Y/n) was the first to answer. Fushiguro explains to the pair as discreetly as he could, why over ten thousands of people go missing in a year. This is all because of the negative emotions that seeps out of people which takes the form of a curse. While Itadori looked confused by it, his childhood friend was not. Her eyes widened faintly at his explanation.
