3rd POV
While (Y/n) agreed to follow Fushiguro, outside of the school building, at the school gates, Itadori was hesitant to enter the school despite that his childhood friend had already gone inside, probably to fend off curse spirits while finding Fushiguro, he wonders. But there was an unknown force holding him back; if he enters, his life will be in danger before he could blink. He was afraid.
Afraid of dying.
The death of his grandfather hadn't truly sunk in yet, but his grandfather had faced death and the boy hadn't. He was scared of losing his life. "You're strong...so try to help others." His grandfather's final words flashed into the boy's mind, as Itadori also recalls seeing a determined glint in (Y/n)'s (e/c) eyes. Every time they'd hang out, he'll see her looking around, presumably staring into the abyss but (Y/n) was actually cautiously waiting and watching to see if it'll make a move. So, she was more wary than her sister.
Behind those mysterious (e/c) orbs, they definitely tell a story.
A dark story.
Back to Fushiguro and (Y/n), the two had just finished dealing with a curse spirit that stood in their path, (Y/n) giving Fushiguro directions to the occult club, but the pair had to take couple of detours since curses have broken into the school, which was complicated considering the occult club was on the other side of the school and they're only half way!
"Ah, there it is!" (Y/n) says, her eyes widening at the curse spirit that held Sasaki and Iguchi captive. 'it's close, I can feel it!' The teenagers skid to a stop when their eyes landed on the morbid curse that held her upperclassmen captive. (Y/n) could easily feel her legs shaking, it was troublesome after using an excess amount of curse energy that could make her feel like her legs were about to fall off. But (Y/n) had to push through if she's willing to get out of this alive.
"Damn it..." (Y/n) silently curses. 'This isn't good, I don't have enough curse energy to even get near the damn thing. Not to mention this is my first-time using curse energy, so it's no wonder why I feel exhausted.' (Y/n) was pulled out of her thoughts when shattering glass came from the window next to the curse as a familiar boy came through it. Itadori was able to grab the second years and kick the curse spirit with his impressive strength as Fushiguro and (Y/n) look to each other, seemingly thinking the exact same thing. (Y/n) runs towards the curse while Fushiguro summons his Shikigami and the two worked together with taking down the curse spirit.
(Y/n) kneels down, sitting on the floor as she breathed a long sigh, relieved that the three were able to have a breather from the intense fight. (Y/n) almost scrunched her nose in distaste when she sees Fushiguro's shikigami devour the curse spirit as if it was an all-time favourite meal. Fushiguro extends his hand out to (Y/n) who accepts and helps her stand up. "Normally, I'd be pissed...but good job." Fushiguro says. 'you weren't all too happy when I took care of my two problems...well, to be fair, I had no idea that the second one snuck up behind me.' (Y/n) huffs as she replies to Itadori, "You did good, Yuji. Although, I wasn't expecting you appear on the fourth floor!" Itadori chuckles, nervously at his childhood friend's reply as he looks at Shikigami eating the curse.
"By the way, what's that eating the curse?" Itadori ask. "It's my Shikigami. You can see it?" Fushiguro asks then adds, "Normally, you can't see curses. Exceptions being when facing a near-death experience or in places like this." It amazed him how Itadori was able to see curses, but it didn't add up that (Y/n) was able see it when he couldn't. "You're not scared, huh?" he asks.
