The People You Meet in the Afterlife

A crowd had now gathered around what was known as the "viewing area".  It was like the edge of a cliff, where those in the afterlife could look down on the living.

It had started with a young teen named Marcel, running through the town telling everyone they needed to come quick, that the Attack Titan had been found.

Mina and Thomas had been enjoy a walk through town, when Marcel came running in.

"What the hell is an Attack Titan?" Mina said.

Thomas watched some people in the town immediately follow Marcel.

"Let's go find out" Thomas said.

Now they watched in amazement and horror as Eren Jeager, in Titan form made his way through Trost.

"So that's who we were looking for" Marcel said watching intently.

"It seems so" said a short portly man with glasses.

The 2 seemed to know each other from their time among the living.

"What's he trying to do?" Franz asked.

"Well he did just try to kill that Mikasa girl" Farlan said. "Where's Levi?"

Flagon jerked his head to the to the west, "dealing with titans over by the west of Wall Rose"

They looked and they saw Levi and his squad take out titans.

"Can't believe he got another red head" said Isabel with a pout.

"Calm your pigtails there Isabel, I'm sure you're still number one" Farlan said smirking at her.

Suddenly a voice caught Mina's attention. She looked to the east.

There standing on a roof top in Trost, were Marco, Reiner, and Bertholdt looking at each other with shocked expressions.

Reiner and Bertholdt had been talking about "using their titans".

Mina had really like Reiner during training, he was always helping others and was just so easy to be around. She also cared for Marco too, he was so kind and just wanted to make his family proud. Bertholdt had kept to himself mostly, but he still seemed like a nice guy. They had all placed in the top 10 of their cadet class.

Then she saw Annie fly over using her ODM gear. Annie had been someone she stayed away from during training, she had made it obvious that she wasn't interested in making friends. But she was strong and a capable fighter, so she felt confident they would make it out of this fight alive if they all worked together, thinking she had just misheard Reiner.

But something felt off, and in the blink of an eye Reiner had restrained. Marco looked panicked.

"Take his ODM gear" he barked at Annie.

Both Annie and Bertholdt looked hesitant.

"Thomas!!!! Milieus look!!!!", Mina screamed.

The attention turned away from Eren to the scene on the roof top.

"What the hell are they doing?!?!" Milieus asked. Watching Annie tearfully take off Marco's
ODM gear.

"REINER, BERTHOLDT!!! STOP!!!!" Mina screamed with tears in her eyes.

The viewing audience above could hear Marco plead in vain for his life. Begging to talk it out.

Farlan looked horrified. "They are going to leave that kid to die!!"

The only people silent were Marcel and the man with the glasses.

"Oh GOD PLEASE SOMEONE HELP HIM!!!" Mina screamed collapsing to her knees as she watched the 3 fly off and the Titan approaching Marco.
