The members of Levi squad were all trying to adjust to their new "life".

Petra and Oluo were happy to have a home together. They were getting to live out the live they had dreamed up together when they were alive. Still it was hard for them both to look down upon the living and see their families coping with their deaths.

Petra's father threw himself into gardening. Something they use to do together when Petra was a child. But when the nights would come, the grief would hit hard. He would hold Petra's official military portrait and cry. From the viewing area Petra would cry as well, wanting to desperately reach out to her father and tell her she was ok. Petra was grateful for her mother during these times. In more happier moments, the two would talk about her life after her mom had died. Her mom couldn't stop talking about how proud she was of Petra's bravery. The two would also talk about Oluo, and their future.

Having promise to marry him after their time in the military, the two wanted to have a wedding now, but both Petra and Oluo wanted to wait for some of their friends and family and for Levi. But it was fun for Petra and her mom to plan a wedding that they had no clue when it was going to happen.

Petra and Isabel also grew close. They enjoyed evenings at the tavern sharing stories about Levi.

Oluo was trying to be strong for Petra, but he was watching as his death was starting to fracture his family. His brothers fought more. The now eldest brother now hell bent of joining the survey corps which caused fights between him and his parents. The burning hatred that his father carried for Levi, who he held somewhat responsible for his son's death. Oluo's mother would just hold his jacket and cry. His youngest brother still didn't quite understand what death was, and would ask when Oluo was coming home. They were trying to function, to move on, but it was proving to be strenuous on his family. At first he would go off on rides deep into the forest and scream, let out all the pain and anger he was feeling. He was anger that he couldn't protect Petra, he couldn't defeat the female Titan, and that now the female Titan was safely sealed in an impenetrable crystal.

Finally he broke down to Petra. Waking up from a nightmare of his brother being crushed by a Titan. Petra wrapped her arms around him as he sobbed, letting everything out. She gently stroked his hair, letting him grieve. Reminding him that she loved him and what happened wasn't anyone's fault but Annie's. Petra was becoming his forest he could seek refuge in.

"At least we are here together" she whispered, kissing his temple.

Eld felt lost. He ended up in a house with Gunther, and the two enjoyed continuing the friendship they had had when they were alive. Sharing stories about their time in training, the trouble they got into, and the bound the 4 of them shared.

It was also nice to see old friends again. Those they had served with. But there was that pang of guilt, that they lived longer than their friends had.

They liked to have Petra and Oluo over a lot. They were glad to have each other. But both Gunther and Eld didn't have the luxury that Oluo and Petra had. Gunther missed his father desperately, and could only watch as his health decline, accelerating by grief. Eld watched as the love of his life went through the motions.

Eld had watched in horror as LisAnna had demanded to see Eld's body. A solider had tried to stop her, but Levi allowed it. Eld felt physically sick as she looked at what was left of him. Her face blank, all of the light leaving her eyes.

That light has yet to return.

When Levi went to deliver Eld's personal belongings to her, there was a letter that was only supposed to be opened in the case of his death. It told her how much he loved her, and was so grateful that he had met her. He appreciated the support she had for him when he joined the Survey Corps. He also wrote that she needed to keep living, and that it would be ok for her to love again.
