Ten Years Later
Adrien and Nino both paced the floor, crossing beside each other with matching worried expressions and matching baby pink tuxedos. Nino had gone so far as to remove the baseball cap that he was known for, yet the women who they were supposed to be spending the day with were nowhere in sight. Adrien was growing worried. Marinette wasn't known for having cold feet, even as Ladybug, but anything could've happened to hold her up from that to another akuma. He pulled out his phone and scrolled through a few news feeds but there was no sign of an akuma attack on any of the usual sights. This fact didn't make him feel any better.
"What's new pussy cat?" He glanced up at the sound of Crow's voice. His worried frown slipping into a thin line as he slipped his phone back into his trouser pocket. Nathaniel and crow were each wearing tuxedos designed by Marinette, much like every other man in the wedding party, but theirs were a deep blue that caught the light in a way that made small rainbows reflect off their collars and ties.
"Why are you two damp?" Was all Adrien could ask as he took in the way their hair hung limply around their shoulders.
"We just came off a cruise." Nathaniel Feng slipped his arm through his husbands as he spoke. "This one just couldn't wait to get here so we didn't really have time to dry our hair."
"At least someone has their date." Nino muttered from behind Adrien as he dialed Alya's number for the fifth time, he frowned when the call immediately went to voicemail. Crow was frowning as well, and pulled Nathaniel along as he stepped up beside Adrien.
"Hey kitty kitty, do we need to go look for some missing chicks?" He asked, one eyebrow raised as he stared down the blonde.
"I'm worried it's me." Adrien admitted as he clenched his fist. "There's been no sign of an akuma and if Marinette got cold feet then of course Alya would help her leave." He felt his muscles tighten as the need to pace once again overtook him.
"While that may be true, that girl wouldn't get cold feet on you." The four turned to see Kid standing at the door to the chapel. A lime green tuxedo draped over her lanky form and the stuffed toy Lamb Lamb in what looked a lot like a smaller version of the wedding dress Marinette designed for herself.
"Hey sis!" Nathaniel called to her with a small wave, Crow mearely grunted his greeting.
"Glad you two could make it, last I heard you were on a boat." Kid chuckled as she moved to give Nathaniel a big hug. Adrien shifted from foot to foot nervously, everyone was there, aside from his Fiancé and her best friend.
"It'll be fine." Kid said once she caught his eye, "Mari called me last night and said she and Alya were staying with her parents to get ready. They are probably just having trouble carrying the cake or something." He supposed she was right, Marinette's parents were catering the wedding after all. He just sighed as he thought of his soon to be wife carrying a cake into the restaurant that their reception was to be held in, wearing the gown that she designed. He let out a calming breath and reached into the pocket of his tux to stroke Plaggs head.
By the time Marinette, Alya, and her parents walked through the door of the church, Adrien was in his assigned room attempting to pin his cumberbun onto his lapel. Alya led Marinette to her own room across the hall from Adrien's and urged her into a seat in front of a mirror. The girls talked about the night before and giggled like they were in school again as Alya worked her hair into a high swirling bun. By the time they were finished, Kid had slipped into the room carrying Lamb Lamb on her shoulders like she was giving the toy a piggy back ride.
"You know, the boys were totally sure that both of you took off somewhere." She said as she sat down in a lounge chair behind them.
"We were only a little late." Alya scoffed as she put the last pin in Marinette's hair and turned her to study her makeup.
