A gift from Aline that she tried to give to Hailey before the incident was a violin.
It felt..wrong.
Aline was not a calm person, yet this instrument was calm.
The string almost felt as if it was spelling out Aline's last words.
The violin was as if it was crying out.
A note was with it.
"My dear sister, Thanks for everything. I'm sorry for what I've done to you in the past few months. I hope you forgive me. I know you always wanted to play an instrument. So"
The note was unfinished. The handwriting was rushed and crooked as if Aline felt guilt while writing.
Xavier hasn't felt this feeling in years.
Grieving and love was new for him.
All the people who he once knew as good have either vanished of their pure hearts or passed away.
Aline was the beacon of hope.
But, then he stopped playing.
Tears ran down his face.
He'll never see her again.
Lost in his thoughts, Xavier looks around him.
He sees a crowd behind him applauding.
He smiled.
But they disappeared.
“It was just a hallucination, wasn't it?" He said softly.
His smile quickly turned upside down and he left the room.
One of the nurses was in front of him.
“Sir, you should be in bed.”
He looked at her silently, unable to speak.
She turned around and left.
He walked around the hospital.
Happy families and sad families. It's as if the world was reminding him he doesn't have a family anyway.
Xavier sat down in the waiting room.
The nurse once again asked him, “Stay in your hospital bed.”
“My friend died.”
Xavier walked out of the hospital, although still injured, he could not bare to look at the bed that Aline used to be on.
He held the violin in his arms and went to the forest.
