You told me once that you believed love
Is of indescribable beauty, and infinite supply
Just as birds flying with seasons change,
Love comes naturally to those with the biggest hearts
And you told me, and our friend, how much you loved us,
We laughed, though we both loved you too.
And now, as our grandson sits before me now,
Sulking by the fire, your words, your warmth
Both come to me, as I tell him how you felt about love.
His eyes widen, and i tell him to love as much as he wants,
His heart is big, and filled with love, like yours
And i watch him go, smiling with sunshine in his eyes,
He goes to italy, and falls in love, just like you fell in love,
You, me and Robert, all in love together.
Him, and his two loves, both italian, though
Just like you left us, one of his lovers leaves him too soon.
Though I know you’ll take care of our grandson's lover, among the clouds.
As I still grow older, I know you'll take care of me there soon too.
And I'll be with your warmth and love again, as we dance among the stars.
You, me and Robert, reunited once more, together.
You, me and Robert, all in love together.
