You wake up same as usual, except today you were extra happy. You have a date with Eddie well you weren't sure it was a date but it felt like one so you were happy. As you are done getting dressed, fixing up your hair and makeup. You head downstairs saying bye to your mom.

You basically skip all the way to Steve's car humming your favorite song. As you get in all happy, you basically couldn't sit still. "What got you all happy, sweetheart?" Steve asks with his brows furrowed and smile on his face, driving to school. "Just happy!" You lie to him, you felt guilty about lying but he would only be mad at you for going out with Eddie and you didn't want him to be mad. So it was a good lie, a non harmful one! As soon as you get to school you jump out the car about to head off but you quickly turn around and go back to hug Steve. "Bye,sweetheart" Steve speaks but you are already on your way to the front doors instead you wave not looking back. He smiles shaking his head and just carries on with his day.
It was a good day, Eddie and you talking during class. There weren't any assigned seats so he moves behind you. He kept poking your sides making you giggle. It was now lunch time, you are putting your books up before heading to the cafeteria. When someone puts their arm around your shoulder, you expect it to be Eddie but when you turn around it's Jason, your smile fades. "Oh, hey Jason" you say unenthusiastically. "What? Disappointed it's me" he asks slightly offended. "No just expecting someone else, what do you need?" You reply with a smile on your face. "Well me and the rest of the cheer and basketball team are going to the mall after school and I wanted to kn-" he is about to ask but you cut him off. "Can't I have plans today maybe another time" you respond closing your locker walking off.
He scoffs and walks away, slightly offended and angry that you said no but he's not gonna show it. You walk into the cafeteria, with Jessica as you started talking to her in the hall. You walk by Eddie's table, you see him and wave. He is surprised, you, a popular cheerleader acknowledging him in front of your friends. He smiles and waves back causing surprised stares from his table.
Then you go back to talking with Jess, "hey what are you doing waving at the freak?" She ask with a hint of disgust in her voice. You sit down mad and rolling your eyes. "Why does everyone say that, he seems fine to me, he's nicer than most of you guys" you snap at her, making her mouth hang agape. Andy covers his mouth in shock. "Why is that kinda facts" Stephanie butts in, Jessica rolls her eyes and sits down in a huff. You shrug your shoulders, turning to talk to Andy.
You weren't lying Eddie was kinder that half of the school, people just don't like different. You were done with all this 'freak' or 'weirdo' shit. It was aggravating you. He is nice and sweet. As it's nearing the last minutes of class, you are looking down at your paper, leg bouncing up and down. Counting the minutes until you can leave and prepare for you and Eddie's date. That isn't labeled as a date.
