It managed to get rather cold that night, although it was spring, and this meant Yoongi and Jungkook were forced to share the same dirty, probably flea infested blanket as they lay side by side on the torn mattress. The bathroom that they had showered in earlier that night was no better than the rest of the house. The water came out a rustic brown within the first minute of running and tasted like rust. Clearly, the pipes were old and needed replacing.

Yoongi came out of the shower grumpy and wishing he had of just stayed in dirty clothes. He was jet lagged, tired, and all over just sick of the whole situation. Lying in the bed next to Jungkook, he could do nothing but stare aimlessly at the ceiling, waiting for sleep to take him. Jungkook, on the other hand, was acting as if they were in a motel at Disney world.

Wriggling around in the bed, Jungkook slumped onto his side so he could speak to Yoongi. "This bed isn't very comfy." He commented to the raven with a frown. "Do you think there are bed bugs in the mattress?" He asked, subtly bouncing on the bed. "My dad always said 'don't let the bed bugs bite.'"

It was then he suddenly did a cute gasp. "What if I'm asleep tonight and they bite me without me knowing?!What will I do then, Yoongi?! How am I not meant to let them bite if I'm asleep?!" The brunette gushed, squirming around in worry.

"Go to sleep, Jungkook."

"Ok," Jungkook pouted, getting comfortable in the bed and tucking the blanket under his chin. "But you'll watch out for me while I sleep, right hyung?"

"Uh huh, sure." Yoongi mumbled as he rolled onto his stomach, feeling sleep slowly begin to have its way with him.

There was silence for a while, and Yoongi enjoyed the abnormal serenity as both the men fell into asleep...

That was until Jungkook jumped about ten feet high from the bed with a squeal, landing on the floor of the bedroom.

"Hyung!"

Yoongi was immediately awake and upright in the bed, assuming perhaps his father's men had broken into the house and were holding the cousins at gunpoint, or maybe even the neighbours had tried to break in and steal something.

"What is it Jungkook?!" Yoongi asked, frightened as he tried to adjust his tired eyes to the scenery around him. When the fog had cleared from his vision, he noticed Jungkook urgently pointing to the mattress where he had previously been sleeping. "I think there's a tarantula in the bed!" The boy screeched, backing further away from the bed.

If this had have been any other house, Yoongi would have told the boy to go back to bed and stop whinging, however, with this house, in all its unkempt glory, Yoongi was sure there was a probability of some deadly creature being around.

Yoongi was out of the bed in a flash, rushing to the light switch to flick the light on as his frightened cousin whimpered in the background. When the light bulb above them illuminated, Yoongi hurried back to the bed to check for the enormous spider. "Where was it?" He asked Jungkook as he began pulling back the stinky blanket they had been sleeping with to reveal the mattress underneath.

Jungkook pointed to a spot on the bed, closing his eyes and keeping his finger a fair distance away just in case the spider was going to bite him.

When Yoongi looked at the spot, however, there was no spider. What seemed to be there in it's place was an exposed metal spring, covered in the mattress's insulator fabric.

Yoongi's expression was none of surprise or anger; instead, it was just blank as he looked at his cousin's surprised (and slightly relieved) face, blinking occasionally.

"I hate you."

"Good morning, children!" The woman greeted her little students, gently patting some on their heads.

"Good morning, Mrs Moore!" The children sang back, putting their bags away on the small shelves designated for safekeeping of the belongings. The woman gave them all a broad smile. "Now, are we going to be having some great fun today?"

The children all cheered in response, leaving the woman giggling at their cute zeal. "Alright, well, we have some new friends I'd like you to meet today..." She told the children, slightly frowning as she looked around and couldn't find them amongst the swarm of children.

"Who haven't even turned up yet." She added in a mutter to herself. She should have known. Moore mentally kicked herself for giving the men the opportunity to be dignified and show up on time. It was 7am now and she had told them to get there at 6:30am. What a pair of bastards, wasting her time like that.

Brushing it off with a huff, she began to call the children onto the ground around her seat as she showed them all a picture book. The children begin to 'ooh' and 'wow' in amazement at the pictures, but were interrupted when the class door is swung open, revealing two panting men – the same ones from yesterday.

"I'm sorry, Ma'am, we were stuck in traffic." The pink -haired one excused as he panted profusely, his hand on his chest. Despite being annoyed by their tardiness, Moore decided she would just brush it off as the boy had an excuse. "Alright," she reasoned, "But I don't want any more late arrivals." The pink haired man nodded in response before looking over the children.

Yoongi saw so many faces of miniature human beings, staring at him creepily as if he was in some horror movie where he was being watched by those paintings with moving eyes. Usually, Yoongi wouldn't think twice about people staring at him. He was a gangster's son after all, and that always caused a lot of attention to be drawn his way, however, within a day of being in Los Angeles, here was Yoongi, nervously sweating as he was being scrutinised – by children, of all things.

He slowly made his way over to where Mrs Moore was sitting with the children, Jungkook following closely behind, biting his lip. When he finally stood before the children, he cleared his throat, looking over the mound of diverse faces looking towards him as if waiting for him to speak.

Oh, how he hated children.

He cleared his throat, borderline choking on the phlegm in it, before speaking. "H-Hi, I'm Mr Mi-
"He stopped when he realised he was saying his previous name, and not the one given to him by Jimin. ".....Kim." He corrected himself.

It was quite for all but an eternity as the children just sat there, blinking. Yoongi thought perhaps they didn't like him or something, but that idea was thrown to the wind when a small girl with black, bobbed hair spoke up.

"Mr Sugar!"

"What?"

"What?"
