*JUST BEFORE THE SHOWER SCENE WITH MARION*

'Ahhh...Another great day in Miami.' My best friend , Ashton said after a long awkward silence occured. We were waiting for our bastard of a friend to come out of the water so we could all leave together. We had rented out a house for the summer here with my brother being a guardian.

My parents didnt really care about my well-being and let me do whatever I wanted but my friends had actual caring parents that put some rules on our trip ; so we needed a gudardian to stay with us down in Florida.

I looked towards the water as I saw Calum's silhouette with tan and inked skin come out of it looking very disappointed with himself. Ashton slowly stood up from where he was sitting , sand stuck to his wet swimming shorts.

'Aw Cal , whats up?'

Calum didn't even bother to reply to Ashton , he just grabbed the towel laying on the sand and dried himself. Calum always had this habit of mumbling something when he didn't want to talk about it ; he was mumbling something about "Lindsay" and "Long Island"

"Let me guess , Lindsay wants you to visit her again this last week?' I said , squinting as the sun was hitting my eyes. The day flew by actually and it was already 7:30 pm. It was our last week here in Florida and I couldn't believe how fast this summer went by. I just want to press rewind and relive it all again.

'Yes! I already visitted her 5 times this summer! As if we don't see eachother enough.' He spat out , all of the anger bursting out of him. You could see how close he was to ending things with Lindsay and just going back to his flirty self.

When Calum and Lindsay started dating in April , Calum hopped into a completely different mindset. He would normally flirt A LOT with girls and be really outgoing. After Lindsay , he's settled down into his black couch and barely taken off his pijama pants this whole summer.

I'm not saying that settling down for a girl is bad. But... changing your personality for a girl or boy is just wrong.

'Lindsay Teale has her ways , I'm sure you'll go visit her. I'm guessing your driving to Long Island tomorrow at dawn?' Ashton mimicked a arrogant voice , ticking Calum off even more.

'Of course not! I'm gonna tell her that I had enough and I wanna spend the last few days of summer with you guys! And i can't be bothered to drive all the way to Long Island again. I mean-like- I just came back from Long Island 2 weeks ago!' He said it so passionately and desperately I kind of knew what he was talking about.

He really did just come back from Long Island about 2 weeks ago and barely talked about what he did there. When we really pushed him to talk about what happened he just black out and didn't talk at all.

'I-I-I... I think I'mma call Lindsay. See you guys at the barbeque.' He walked past us , Ashton patting him on the shoulder. He walked up to the house , rushing up the stairs.

'Do you think him and Lindsay are fighting? He doesn't seem very well.' I looked towards Ashton who's wavy hair was dripping wet and he was slightly shivering from the chilly wind.

'I really don't know. I think he's just had enough and can't deal with the long distance and so on... I really don't want to call Lindsay needy but-' I decided to finish my sentence after I realised it was going nowhere.

'But she is needy. I mean , we havent met her so we don't know what she really is like.' Ashton swallowed his words back realising he was being a bit judgemental.
