5- I Spend Way Too Much Time In My Head

'How the fuck am I gonna fit this in the car?!' I heard Calum screech from the front yard , me looking out from the window in the kitchen. Ben was running around the house like a mid-aged surburban mum making sure that all the windows were closed and all of the doors were locked.

'Ben , we're leaving in 20 whether you like it or not!' I yelled upstaris to my brother , hopefully he understood that. I said the exact same sentence about half an hour again but this time I was serious.

I went back to spying on Calum and Ashton and thought that they kind of resembled a wife and husband. Ashton was the whiny ass wife who loved expensive stuff and spent way too much time reblogging photos of dogs whilst Calum was the husband who thought he was macho but backed out of a fight most times and had the most horrible dad jokes you could ever think of.

'I'M NOT LEAVING WITHOUT MY SURFBOARD!' Ashton stomped around just like a said , like a suburban wife who was just looking and begging for drama.

'FINE THEN DONT COME AT ALL YOU DICK!' Calum said , making Ashton stop dead in his tracks. He took a deep inhale , a squeaky voice coming out from him.

'Aw , mate... You know I didn't mean it like that. But you don't even surf in New York City!' Calum said as Ashton slowly sat onto a big rock , hands in his face.

'You know what? It's fine. Maybe i'll just live in Miami from now on!' Ashton shook his finger and hands around , Calum looking like he was ready for a divorce.

'Okay bud , let's go.' Ben said , a beer in his hand making me questiong all Australian things. Okay , we are Australians and we do like beer quite a lot but was it really necessary for us to drink it in 6 in the morning?

'I'm driving for about 10 hours than Ash , you can drive for 8 right?' Ben pracitcally threw me out of the beach house , locking it.

I held onto my duffel bag and turning my back to the house. It didn't have any sentimental value and I can't say that I had an amazing summer ; it was neutral.

'Who' gonna give the key's to David?' Calum said as we all got our keys ready. When we had rented this house out for the summer , we all had our indivual keys.

'We'll drop them off to the house complex janitor.' Ben said , making no sense. The house was located in an house complex sort of an area and yeah , we had a janitor we cleaned up the place.

We all hopped into the Jeep , making sure to not disturb eachother for another 18 hours. Roadtrips seem fun and all but they do get quite boring after a while. Ashton mainly spent time editing his videos mainly because he wanted to be a proffesional phtographer one day. I must say though , he is really talented at taking photos and videos. We got some pretty good stuff this summer and no doubt , he was gonna upload it to his channel on youtube after he was done.

Old man Calum spends nearly all the roadtrip reading books and munching on hamburgers we get on the way because he's just like that.

And since I had no actual hobbies all I was planning to do was be a couch potato and catch up on some tv series (as if I hadn't done that the whole summer)

Trust me , I don't want to talk about the first 7 hours of the trip. Ashton god a nose bleed and wouldn't shut up about it for another 2 hours. He acted as if he had a near-death experience and blabbed onto Ben who had no choice but to listen to his loose tongue.
