Summary
Akaza and Douma meet when first collecting their starter Pokémon.From then on Douma decides to annoy him for the rest of their journey.Even when they become adults.

Akaza huffed in annoyance,the tall figure of one of his next door neighbour was something he didn't want to see so early in a morning.Sucking in a large breath,he knew it would be best just to ignore the blond then just do what he needed to do.Hopefully it would just be as easy as that.

"Hey you're Akaza-Soyama right?" Douma's face held nothing but excitement when he saw his neighbour.The pinkette had ignored for as long as he could remember so now was the perfect time to talk to him.
"Mhm," the younger boy hummed,looking completely bored and slightly pissed off.Just wanting to get his Pokémon and leave as quickly as possible.

The process of picking a Pokémon was rather quick.There wasn't that much of a choice really.

Akaza choose the water type Pokémon Sobble.The sensitive lizard like Pokémon was actually quite adorable so it was basically a no brainer.The said Pokémon was resting on top of his head as he started his new journey.He hoped that he would become the new champion of the Galar region.

Suddenly,a Scorbunny ran in front of from.Coming close to tripping him up,the weird creature jumped up and down.Obviously very happy about something.All of sudden two arms wrapped his neck,almost making him fall over.Sobble started crying in response.
"Hey Akaza-Dono!" Akaza sighed in annoyance,taking a-hold of the water-type Pokémon in his hands.Douma's wide and childish grin annoyed him but also sort of brightened his mood.
"Hello Douma," the pinkette mumbled,slightly leaning against the older teenager just to make sure he doesn't allow them to fall over.
"So urm...your dad wants me to accompany you!I mean we'll be doing the same journey so what'd cha say?" Of course this was going to happen.Sighing in defeat,the pale Pokémon trainer just nodded when he realised there was nothing he could do about this situation.

Maybe he wouldn't be that bad to travel with.

[Many years later]

Douma clapped his hands together,the Feebas he was playing with twirled in a circle in the water.Dipping into the water then jumping back up moments later.Akaza huff loudly as he sat down,silently begging that he could just fall asleep in the surprisingly warmer summer daylight.
"Ah!You're back,how'd it go?" The blond smiled,pulling the younger adult into his side.
"Alright,I hate being a professor." The pinkette whined,leaning against the other.Half falling asleep on the older's shoulder.

Very quickly Akaza was fast asleep with his head in the older's lap,a unusually small Riolu curled underneath his arms.Douma hummed a gentle tune,running his fingers through soft pink hair,a vulpix curled up next to his feet.

Days like theses were the best.

Peacefully resting in the large Pokémon research area,watching the Pokémon play with each other.It was just perfect.
