Both Kanao and Inosuke lunged forward at Doma and in the blink of an eye their swords disappeared and Doma vanished again. It almost seemed like magic and when both of them turned the corner, they could see Doma holding all of their swords and was able to grab Inosuke's boar mask. "You two weren't holding your swords very well, so I went ahead and stole them from you. I guess without them they won't be much help now would it" Doma said while snickering to himself with his fans over his smile. Kanao and Inosuke were in big trouble since there was no way to defend themselves without their swords. Inosuke dashed right for the swords and in his reckless manner got himself injured from an oncoming attack that was too quick to dodge.

"Beast Breathing, Ninth Fang: Extending Bendy Slash" yelled Inosuke. Doma was confused by this sudden motion since he didn't have a sword, so why did he use a breathing technique? That question was quickly answered when Doma noticed that all the swords were missing and that's when Doma realized his opponent dislocated both of his arms and grabbed the swords when Doma wasn't looking. Although disgusting, Doma found pleasure in how disgusting his opponent was and sent an attack both their ways. "Blood Demon Art, Freezing Clouds" Doma uttered and ice began to take shape around the two of them, and needed to hop away. Kanao was so unprepared for the attack that it nearly froze her to death with how cold the technique was, but even with that, Doma kept the attack going.

"Blood Demon Art, Scattering Lotuses." The air was deathly cold and it seemed like using breathing styles was becoming pointless since the air was so cold, that their lungs would immediately collapse and suffocate. The bridge started to freeze over and created a difficult battleground for the two of them to fight an upper-rank demon on. Flowers made of razor-sharp petals were formed from the ice in the air and were placed all over the bridges severely limiting their movement. Kanao tried her best to clear out the flowers as best she could, but she knew with every strike her opponent would take notice and exploit the weaknesses in her form. "Enough!" Doma shouted, his eyes furious with rage seeing the two children fighting with persistence.

"Blood Demon Art, Crystalline Divine Child!" Little ice figurines were being formed and were surprisingly fast. Kanao took note of how fast each was and did her best to fight them off with swordplay. Inosuke was partially freaked out and started to run in the opposite direction until icicles formed on top of Inosuke's head and barely had any time to react. They came slamming down and Kanao at the last possible second cut the icicles while fighting off a little ice figurine. Inosuke was furious that he almost died which prompted him to outmaneuver the little figure and chop him in half. Doma lifted his fan and two more little ice figurines were summoned and both Kanao and Inosuke knew they were in trouble.

"Well, I suppose I can record how they fight since my blood demon art is activated. Hopefully, those little things can keep them preoccupied while I check up on the other demons." That is when Doma felt a huge pain in his stomach and started to melt. "What? What's happening to me?" Doma began to question and briefly can see the silhouette of Shinobu and that is when he realized that the entirety of Shinobu's blood was filled to the brim with wisteria poison. "Urgh, I haven't encountered this much poison in my entire life, can I adjust to it?!" Both Inosuke and Kanao knew something was off since the little ice figurines slowed down drastically and glanced over at Doma and saw he had gotten poisoned. Inosuke was confused yet ecstatic that his opponent was dying, but Kanao knew that this was the time to take down Doma now since she knew that Shinobu's blood had wisteria poison in it and was part of the plan if Shinobu encountered Doma. Kanao informed Inosuke about the attack that was going to commence, but before their hopes got too high, the final blood demon art was shown to the both of them.

"Blood Demon Art: Rime — Water Lily Bodhisattva!" Doma yelled frantically. A giant bodhisattva appeared from all the water in the room and was massive. Kanao was in front of Inosuke and Kanao realized that she had to do an attack to defeat this demon that could potentially make her blind, but it was the only option seeing the danger presented.

"Flower Breathing, Final Form: Equinoctial Vermilion Eye." This wasn't a breathing technique, but rather a focusing of the eyes that allowed Kanao to evade Doma's attacks with ease. Doma was sure that he would be able to evade Kanao's attacks, but seeing her sword approach so quickly to his neck the bodhisattva blew out extremely cold air that froze Kanao in place with her sword halfway into Doma's neck. Inosuke was in a bad place as the bodhisattva trapped him from the waist down and quickly uttered. "Sudden Throwing Strike!" This was a gamble that Inosuke had to win and in almost an instant the three swords clashed together and sliced through Doma's neck. Both Inosuke and Kanao were dropped to the ground and glanced over at the fallen demon.

"Is this really the end for me? Why don't I feel any sadness?" Uttered Doma while his head was being turned to ash. Both Kanao and Inosuke were exhausted by this point and had to lie down for a break. Doma's head was still disintegrating at a rapid pace and everything turned black for the demon. In what seemed like a dream, Doma's eyes were reawakened in a black void, and saw that Shinobu was carrying his head. Doma was very static seeing Shinobu eye to eye and began to flirt with Shinobu.

"Aah! Your hands are very soft Shinobu!" Doma said, Shinobu still kept a smile and said "I see Kanao and Inosuke decapitated you! How splendid!" Doma couldn't contain his excitement and asked Shinobu "Would you be willing to walk through hell with me!" "After you!" Shinobu said with a big grin and with that upper moon 2 was completely gone. Kanao and Inosuke both recuperated and on the way out of the room, Inosuke grabbed his boar head and quickly put it on his head, and both left the room.

"What!!? How could this be!" uttered Kokushibo. "I had faith in the two of you Akaza and Doma, but yet you threw your lives away. What a disappointment." Kokushibo was furious about the situation and decided to stay in the shadows since the demon slayers will drop their guard when they think they killed the king of demons, Muzan. Muzan was in a very weakened state since Tamayo's poison took a great effect on Muzan's body. He began vomiting and wasn't able to split apart and scatter across. He knew he was still stronger than the majority of the demon slayers and when he encountered Tanjiro, Giyu, Genya, Muichiro, Sanemi, and Gyomei, Muzan knew that he was going to die, but decided to take out as many demon slayers as he could to make sure Kokushibo could kill off the rest. The Hashira didn't know at the moment that their opponent was a pawn in Kokushibo's game and this battle was going to be one of endurance.
