Before the army of Hurin had reached the mountains, the death of Arakur sent the Marakese into a deep state of shock. If the death of Arakur bought them to their knees, the news that it was Archimedes who had killed them, buried the people under the ground. They could not take tand up, there were howls and cries. The mountain creaked and the Broken swam down the valley. Archimedes was put in cuffs and was taken to the kingdom as a prisoner. Zeno did not leave his room, he could not be moved. " If death had come to him at that time" he would have accepted it. Hera was inconsolable and she hid herself in her room too. Hana stood on the balcony as a sign of strength. Much did she know, that if it was not for Archimedes that she would be in far more trouble than she could have imagined. " Cruelty in its highest order" lamented Borgur. " Will the gods not show us any mercy" he shouted. As Hana was standing on the balcony, she saw a rather large man come in through the gates. He wore a iron mask and you could not see what was beneath it. He entered inside and sat himself down in a corner. Hana was curious about who it was and even more so what he was. Strangely, no one paid any attention to the man. Everyone was in mourning. He sat there watching everything and no one paid any attention to him. No one except Hana who kept a eye on him throughout! Borgur came and stood beside Hana. She did not pay any attention to him and Borgur too kept silent. He then looked at the direction she was keenly watching over at. " What could it be ?" he wondered and he saw the iron maked man sit there beneath them in the corner. Do you know who that could be? asked Hana to Borgur. I haven't had the slightest idea who it could be, replied Borgur. I could have someone sent over there to enquire, said Borgur. No, that would not be needed, said Hana. Let us just keep an eye on him for the time being, she suggested. Borgur agreed to the same, even though he did not understand her reasons. " The breeze blew towards them" Do you not see the breeze behave in a strange way? she asked Borgur. No, I cannot my Queen, he said to her. There is something odd about that floats in the air, she said to him. " She looked at Borgur with her wear eyes" I fear that something bad is going to happen. Far worse that what has already happened? she asked him. Yes, she replied. She reached out for the air with her hands and grasped it. " Our people may not survive the day" she said to Borgur.
"Archers guard the outpost" shouted Borgur. Strongman guard the barricades, ordered Zeno as he was standing down. He acknowledged Hana and she too acknowledged him. " Horse fighters, prepare to fight" commanded Zeno. He fell on the stairs below unable to handle the pressure that had fallen on his shoulders! The rest of the warriors prepare for battle! he instructed. " The arrow men rushed to the outposts". The strongmen stood by the barricades and the horses galloped around the mountains, their strides causing the mountains to shake. Borgur went to the armory, picked his sword up and covered him in armor." He lifted his sword up in the sky" to death, he uttered and ran to the battlefield unaware of the danger that lay ahead of them. Zeno too gathered all his strength and picked up his gun and got up on his horse. " To Archimedes" he said to himself and was ready for battle.
As nightfall approached.....
Zeno was parading the grounds and so was Borgur, storming the fields. The strongman's true test had arrived and the rest of warriors had no fear in their eyes. Demarius rallied his troops and stood with firmness at the top of the battlefield. "Archersbe on command" alerted Zeno. He went and stood by Borgur. Borgur stood with the strongman and was ready to lift his sword up high in the sky." This is what I was born for. My destiny entails me to lead an army with our sword" and he looked up at the sky. "Brace yourselves" said Zeno to Borgur. We are ready, he said. I'm yet to see a man that had fear in his eyes. Yes, said Zeno looking all around. Is it because we don't know who the enemy is. " What the enemy is" said a very deep and ancient voice in a tongue mixed with the old and new language. Zeno. looked at the man and he stood firmly on his horse." Who are you?" he asked him. The question you need to ask me is why I'm here, he said speaking in the new language. Why are you here? said Borgur turning back barely holding his sword back. Its not the sword that cuts through the evil, but it is fire burn through them" he spoke. Just then... Sir, sir" there are horses coming over to us" said the archers. Hold your fire! said Zeno and reached the barricades on the front line where Demarius stood. What is that? asked Demarius. I don't know, replied Zeno. Whatever it is, if we do not kill it. It will us, he said to Demarius with fear in his eyes.
"Hurin and Adriella rode ahead in the front" and saw the archers and the barricades hold their fort. "Send the evil army in" said Hurin. The evil army raced ahead in front of them and darted towards the front line of the barricade were Demarius held the fort. "Archers shoot"! commanded Zeno. The archers flung their arrows peircing the evil army ahead in front of them. Hoards of arrows pierced through them and they still made their way through. Some of them fell from their horses, but the others came forward with a foray. Even the evils that fell from their horses, marched on the ground." They cannot be dead" said Demarius. " Aim for the horses" ordered Zeno to the archers. Fell the horses, and not the creatures, he said and the archers lunged their arrows on the horses. The evil all of them had fallen to the ground and walked instead of riding. "Demarius hold the fort" said Zeno and ,arched into the heart of the grounds. The evil army walked and reached for the barricades and pushed as hard as they could against the hold of Demarius. Their force was too strong for the rock people and they were pushed back slowly. " Hold the line" shouted Demarius to his people. the rock people gathered all their strength and pushed the barricade back on the evils. Hurin looked at what was happening ahead and decided it was time to unleash Mordin and the wolves." Mordin" time to clear the outposts he said. "Mordin and the wolves walked ahead and the archers turned their focus on the wolves" Mordin walked ahead and many a arrows flung at him and many ripped his chest. Harmless! he said and looked at Zoreus. Take them down! he said to him. Zoreus and the wolves tunred howled their cry as they tunred to the wolf men and flew with their wings and ripped apart the outpost one by one. The archers fell on the ground helpless and ran for their lives, too scared of what they had seen! Stay frim , shouted Zeno as he saw the fort crumbling in the front. Demarius could not hold for long, he had reaslied. He looked up at the moon and decided that he had to become what he had pledged to not turn into." I have no choice" now he said as he saw his army slowly ceding ground to the others! He looked at the moon and howled a cry so loud that it shook even Zoreus!
