Stay there! said Dragon head. All the four of them lay in the ground. This time no one wanted to get up and put up a fight with him. Their bones were broken into pieces and their spirit too brittle. A voice gathered all its strength to speak up. "If not you?" then who was it? asked the Borkir. I do not know, said Dragonhead. Can we take a look at your dragon ? asked Ilvandir as he adjusted his bones. You can! said dragon head, but only one of you will be allowed to see it. "He is resting!" replied dragonhead. They did not bother looking around to discuss who it was going to be, Ilvandir got up and dusted his back and walked ahead to see the dragon. "Your axe" asked for it dragonhead. Ilvandir gave it to him and sighed "My axe against the dragons breath!" Thsi way said, said Dragon head and walked in front of the dwarf. Do not speak! he warned the dwarf. I shall not, hewhispered.
A few times later........
Ilvandir came back to the company with his head down. Is that our dragon? they all asked him. No, he replied. Let us go home! he said his head hanging down. it is ok! they all cheered him up, with their bones broken and blood dripping, they still had their hopes and cheer intact! I'm sure we will find the dragon, said Ilvandir optimistically. They all carried each other to the end of the cave and got back on their goats and returned back home. Dragonhead was down by the cave as he saw the dwarves fly into the sky. " Such strong people" he said and walked back inside. A shadow lurking made itself visible. " Who are they?" asked Reya. Dwarves, he replied simply and continued to walk inside. What do they want? she asked him. They wanted something that we cannot give, he replied to her. Gold? she asked dragonhead. No, it is not their nature to hoard or hunt for gold, these dwarves, he replied. She kept silent as they walked ahead. Dragonhead knew that her silence meant that she was not done asking the questions. "They came for revenge!" he said to her. Revenge! she said in a shocked manner. What did we do to them? she asked. We did not do anything to them! he replied. "They simply mistook us for someone else" said Dragonhead. As they were speaking, a dark shadow ran past them. Reya chased him and dragon head acted like he was chasing down the shadow. Stop! she shouted but the shadow continued to run. Catch him! she said to dragon head. Dragonhead picked up his pace and only stooped at the end of the cave. He bent down like he ran his pace. Rubbing he knees, as Reya caught up to him. "Who was that?" she asked him trying to catch her breath. I don't know, he replied. he was too quick for me. "And he wore a mask, so I could not see his face either" he said to her. Come let us go back! he said to her and walked back with no shortness of breath. She stood there trying to figure out where the person must have run. "Must be someone looking for a place of shelter!" said Dragon head. Reya agreed to that possibility. " As there were a lot of people these days coming into den looking for shelter" Wait for me! she said and ran up to him and caught up with dragonhead. He is Asleep! he said to her
