Lucia x reader - chocolate cake

You turn off the computer and sigh. The mission report is finally done, but there's still a big pile of paperwork waiting to be dealt with. Your eyes wander to your alarm clock on the nightstand. It's evening, you've spent the whole day in front of the desk. "Now I'm going to take a break." you mumble and stand up. Your back hurts from sitting for hours and your stomach growls. Perhaps Liv has cooked something delicious for you again today?

The door slides open silently as you press the panel on the door frame. The bright light in the hallway is blinding you. You rub your eyes and make your way to the kitchen. Suddenly, someone runs right into you. You lose your balance and land on the floor.

"Shikkikan are you okay?" Lee stands in front of you. His horns flash in the light of the ceiling light as he briefly turns around to look behind him. Almost as if he's being followed.

"I'm fine," you answer him quickly. He looks rushed and you don't want to hold him up unnecessarily.

"Watch where you're going," Lee replies, a little annoyed, and sticks his hand out to you. You grab it and Lee helps you up effortlessly. Sometimes you are a little jealous of the constructs. If you were that strong, it might make life easier for the other Gray Ravens. But you know your job as Commandant would be impossible as a construct.

"I have to go, see you later Shikkikan," Lee says, snapping you out of your thoughts.

"Of course. Where do you have to go in such a hurry? We don't have a mission this week, do we?" You ask.

Lee looks to the ground and then again in the direction he had come from. "Um... I have this really important thing. Say hi to Liv and Lucia for me."

You decide not to ask more specifically. You're really hungry and don't want to stand in the hallway any longer. "See you later Lee"

"See you later and really watch where you're going next time." says Lee, raising his hand in farewell. As he walks past you he mumbles softly "I would never forgive myself if I hurt you Shikkikan." But maybe you heard wrong.

The kitchen is unusually large, considering that only the Gray Raven team members and you live there. Like the rest of your apartment, this room is mostly gray. Only a few flowers from Liv and a small porcelain frog from Lucia decorate the room.

At the very back are the kitchen cabinets and enough workspace where the entire team could cook together. However, due to the cooking skills of a certain construct, this was never repeated after one attempt. Further ahead is a large dining table with gray chairs.

As you enter the kitchen, a strange smell blows towards you. It smells burnt. Lucia is setting the table. This can't be good.

"Shikkikan, you're just in time. Dinner is ready!" exclaimed Lucia. She ran her hands through her dark hair.

Hesitantly, you ask, "Didn't Liv want to cook today?" You hope your question won't hurt the girl's feelings.

Lucia looks down at the floor. "Yes, I'm sorry. It's my fault. Liv had to go. She said she had to help Celica with something. She had made something for you. But..." she sighs.

When you see Lucia's devastated expression, any worry about the food is forgotten. "Don't worry, no matter what happend I'm not angry with you." you say and put your hand on her shoulder encouragingly.

Lucia nods. "I was trying to heat up Liv's food for you and I dropped it. But don't worry you don't have to go to sleep hungry. I baked you something."

Oh dear. Judging by the smell, this evening could get pretty interesting. Unfortunately, in a bad way. You try your best to stay calm, but flashbacks of Lucia's last home-cooked meal flash by in your mind, after which you spent two days in the bathroom.
