Lee's activation day - Lee x reader

This was originally planned for Lees activiation day, but im a little late. This chapter has not much xreader in it. You will have to wait for the next chapter. But a lot of Babylonias constructs appear in this chapter.

Tomorrow is Lee's activation day. The other Gray Ravens and I have been planning for weeks to surprise him with a celebration. Luckily we had help from other constructs like Kamui, Nanami and many others. We have to wait with the final preparations because we don't want Lee to find out.

We are currently sitting at the dining table, in the common room of the Gray Raven quarters. Dinner is served. Or rather, my team is sitting with me to keep me company while I eat. As constructs, the other Gray Ravens don't need food, but still they always keep me company. In the middle of the table is a giant cooking pot.

Today, Lee cooked. In front of me is a bowl filled with steaming noodle soup. Small slices of vegetables and something that could be tofu or meat floats in the sauce. It looks perfect and smells incredibly delicious.

" Bon appetite and thank you for the meal" I say and take a bite. It tastes delicious. The food is perfectly seasoned. But then again, when has Lee ever cooked a meal that didn't taste good? Lee is a perfectionist in everything. Back when we decided to take turns cooking, Lee had spent hours in the kitchen practicing. In fact, I was pretty sure he had been secretly taking cooking classes, even though he denies it.

""Mmm, this tastes so delicious."" I sigh happily. "Thank you Lee, you have outdone yourself once again."

Lee's cheeks turn red. " Well...your diet is important to make sure you're strong enough for our missions. That's why I made you a nutritionally balanced meal." he stammers.

"Lee I think your cooling module is malfunctioning again." says Liv.

Lee holds his hand in front of his face to hide his red cheeks.

"Again. I just fixed it, didn't I?" he mutters thoughtfully.

"Anyway, I want to thank you. That's very nice of you to think of me like that," I say, winking at him. I can't help but grin as he gets even redder.

"If it's really that good then I'll have a bowl too!" Lucia exclaims and walks into the kitchen.

"Do you want something too" she calls over to us.

"I'd like some too, if it's not too much trouble," Liv says shyly. Since Liv was speaking too softly, Lucia didn't hear her.

So I call out loud, "Lucia bring bowls for everyone. Let's all eat together today."

Lucia puts the dishes in front of the other Gray Ravens and everyone grabs them. Only Lee hesitates.

"What's wrong Lee?" I ask.

"As a construct, I don't need food. If I eat with you, there might not be enough left for you." replies Lee, staring at his empty bowl. The way he keeps eyeing the pot and his bowl, it's clear to me that he'd still like something.

"Lee you're really worrying too much." I reply, "if I ate all this by myself, I'm sure I could eat a week's worth of it. I wouldn't mind that of course. But you of all people should get something, since you've been preparing the food for so long. Actually, you should get the biggest bowl of all of us."

"All right, if you say so. But don't complain in the end if you have to go to bed hungry," Lee says. Finally he fills his bowl too. We sit together for a while longer, eating and talking.
