Donna's Bedroom, 8:00 a.m.

The sunlight shines through Donna's bedroom window, as she slowly awakens. Her eyelids are heavy, and she moans from the ache in her body. Sleeping on her side has always caused Donna discomfort. Which is something she endeavors to fix. She turns to lie on her back, feeling the softness of her sheets and blankets. She's startled when she sees Angie standing above her, giggling as if she's a child. Donna groans while rubbing her eyes and finds Angie's cackling both unsettling and obnoxious.

Donna looks Angie in the eye "Angie, you know I hate it when you scare me in the morning," Angie doesn't care, because she enjoys seeing the scared look on Donna's face.

Angie cackles "Come on, Donna. Lighten up," Angie jumps off the bed, allowing Donna to get up.

"We got to check on our prisoners," Donna looks down at Angie and nods in agreement. Her thoughts turn to Ethan and Rosemary.

"Indeed," Donna pushes the covers away and places her feet on the floor. The cold from the old wood that makes the floor causes Donna to shiver. She quickly remembers to put on a pair of slippers next to her nightstand to keep her feet warm. She rises from her bed and walks over to a rocking chair to put on a grey robe.

"I hope Ethan has slept well," Donna thinks to herself. She walks out of her bedroom and heads down the corridor to the guest bedroom to check on her guest. Approaching the door, Donna knocks on it three times waiting for Ethan's reply. There is nothing but silence which persuades Donna to open the door slowly. She enters the guest bedroom and turns on the light. She spots Ethan still in bed snoring. Donna walks over to Ethan and sits on the bed. She slowly reaches out to touch Ethan's face, feeling the softness of his skin.

"He has such soft skin," Donna praises, admiring the handsome features of Ethan's character. She moves her hand down to touch Ethan's hand but is suddenly overwhelmed by a flash of Ethan's memories.

Almost like she's seeing things through Ethan's eyes, and looks at his wife, Mia. She's seen holding their daughter while reading a bedtime story. Donna looks at the book which is called Village of Shadows, a tale she's intimately familiar with since her Father read it to her when she was a little girl many years ago. While Mia's beauty may be a treasure to behold, Donna can see the hostility and apprehension from Mia. She fails to understand why Mia is acting like this toward her husband until she recalls Mother Miranda informing her and the other lords of her intention to take Mia's place. Another flash occurs and this time, it's in the dining room when Chris Redfield and his soldiers attack Ethan and Mia's home. First by shooting Mia, and cutting off the power so the lights would turn off. Donna watches Chris Redfield, in his black trench coat, turtleneck, and pants, approach and kick the table away so he looks Ethan in the eye.
