Chapter Nine: Showdown

Chris Redfield and his team meet up with Donna and Ethan. Joining them are Alcina Dimitrescu and Karl Heisenberg, who reluctantly decided to work together instead of bickering with each other like they always did. As for Salvatore Moreau, he was nowhere to be found and it made others worry.

"Where the fuck is Moreau?" asked Heisenberg. "He should have been here by now,". Karl Heisenberg normally wouldn't care about Moreau, but he and Donna were good friends, and the Doll Maker came to care for the Fishman, unlike Alcina and Karl.

"Maybe he cowered back into his little shell of water and mutated fish," Alcina mockingly joked. It made Donna upset as she was standing right behind Alcina without her notice.

Donna Beneviento uses her telekinetic abilities and lifts herself off the ground. Tapping on Alcina's shoulder, the Countess turns around. Donna Beneviento slaps Alcina in the face very hard, and it made a nasty red mark on Alcina's cheek. It was so painful that it felt like being hit with a fly swatter.

"What was that for?" asked Alcina in an offended tone.

"Don't speak of Moreau like that, Alcina," said Donna furiously. "He is a person with feelings as much as he is a lord as you, me, or Karl, and I expect you to treat him better than you would a commoner,". Donna was not prepared to let Moreau be insulted, and Alcina quickly apologizes. Donna was not convinced that Alcina was sincere about her apology and prepared to slap her again.

"Donna," Ethan called out. "It's okay,". Ethan extends his hand out and Donna levitates down to grab it with her own. Donna Beneviento smiles as she felt her lover's hand.

"We got bigger things to worry about," reminded Ethan. All of them agreed and met up with Chris Redfield and his team. Among Chris' team was Karl Heisenberg's make-shift army of organic/cybernetic
killing machines. Most of Chris' team found themselves nauseated to see the mutilated bodies of former villagers who were murdered for Mother Miranda's inhuman experiments. Regardless, it was their best chance to take on the remaining Lycans ordered to defend Miranda's position. Chris Redfield was suspicious that there was still someone within the B.S.A.A. sending information to Mother Miranda regarding Chris and his team. As to who it was, Chris and his team didn't know.

"Okay, let's go over the objective," said Chris. Chris Redfield takes out a map made by a GPS Imaging System. Chris, his team, and Karl Heisenberg's army would engage the Lycans. While Ethan, Donna, and Alcina confront Miranda directly. Time was running out, so they all had to act quickly. Joining the team was Claire Redfield, Chris' sister who received advanced military training to be by her brother's side should the time come. Also joining them were Leon Kennedy and Jill Valentine. Chris remained in contact with them both so they could be updated on the situation. Leon and Jill still couldn't believe anything Chris told them, but the only important thing was stopping Miranda once and for all. This was the first time that Ethan Winters met Leon, Claire, or Jill as it was for them meeting Ethan. The three had heard of Ethan through Chris, but it didn't prepare them for the in-person experience.

"It's nice to meet you in person, Ethan," said Leon as he shook Ethan's hand.

"Nice to meet you too, Leon," replied Ethan. "I just wish it was under better circumstances,". Leon agreed with Ethan and promised that they'd all get Rosemary and Daniela back.

"If Miranda has harmed a single hair on my Daniela," growled Alcina. "Miranda is dead,". The shock of Miranda's betrayal still left Alcina in an emotionally compromised state.

"Chill out, Alci," said Karl Heisenberg. "Miranda played us all,".

"I just hope this plan will work, Chris," said Jill. She was doubtful that everything would go smoothly since plans didn't always follow through as anticipated.
