One Month Later...

Irene was at another meeting with Alcina and the others. It was different this time. There had been word about a family living close to the village who just had a little baby girl six months prior.

"So is this child going to be the one to finally bring her back?" Alcina spoke up, keeping Irene close to her and petting the back of her hair.

"Wouldn't you like to know, Alcina. You already have a pet so this is really none of your concern." Moreau jabbed at and laughed out, glancing over at the large woman. "You can't have this one. Your pet hasn't proved herself useful yet and probably never will."

Irene's blood boiled at the thought of being useless to her mistress. She wanted to fight this monster herself but he was so much bigger than Irene. Karl sat in silence, taking a drag off his cigar and watching the argument unfold before him. He saw how Irene was holding back her anger. The way her fists clutched tightly, almost drawing blood out of them.

"We've all proven ourselves useful, Alcina. She hasn't. She's just your little toy." Angie cackled out and left the spot of Donna's lap, walking over to pull at Irene's dress. "That's all she'll ever be.~ Hehehe! Just a little puppet."

"Why you little!" Irene growled out and reached down for the doll, attempting to grab her throat.

"Irene! Stop! Now!" Alcina yelled out, the others watching as the scene unfolded in silence.

"Useless! Useless little toy!" Angie cackled out and kept running around till she landed back into Donna's lap. Irene ran over, practically seeing red at this point and was stopped by Mother Miranda. She held Irene in a choke hold, fingers sinking deeply into her skin.

"That's enough, Irene! Everyone you're dismissed...I have some business to deal with this one." Everyone got up and left, going their separate directions. Miranda caught Alcina to stay back. "Except you. You're staying here with her."

The taller woman stayed seated and silent, angry that Irene couldn't control herself. Now she would have to face the consequences of starting fights with the others. Miranda kept Irene close, fingers continuing to sink deeper than they had before. Irene struggled until Miranda started to speak in her ear, "Look you little rat...You're not going to keep starting problems with my court. Alcina may have gone a bit soft on you because she doesn't want you dead, but I...I won't be so easy on you. I dare you to try starting something again. And if you do...I'll get rid of you like the insolent little pest you are. Do you understand, my love?"

Irene stayed quiet and still, looking at her mistress as Miranda kept her hold. She didn't know what to do at this point. Was she going to die right here? She stayed quiet and stubborn to not bend to Miranda's will.

"Irene just answer..."

"Quiet Alcina! She has a mouth and a voice! Let her use it!" Miranda hissed sharply as she choked Irene more to the point she began struggling again. "Now do you understand me, little girl? You'll behave or I will get rid of you."

Irene gave a nod and managed to whimpered out, "Yes ma'am...I'll behave..."

"Good girl. As for you Alcina. I suppose you have some thinking to do. Not that you've done much of that the last few months with your precious toy around." Miranda loosened her grip slightly, petting Irene gently on her face and lips. Alcina resisted the urge to snatch away Irene the moment she caught Miranda playing with her. More so she resisted the urge to tear Miranda apart. "So I suggest you think over what has happened and make the best decision possible for little Irene. You wouldn't want her to suddenly end up hurt or worse...dead...would you...?"

"No Mother Miranda...I wouldn't..."

"Good. Then make the right decision for her because soon the game will be starting. And we can't have little pests getting in the way. Make sure you choose wisely what will be done with Irene." At that moment she let Irene go and turned to leave, Alcina standing up and pushing the red head in a different direction to go. They went out the door and into the dirt covered corridor, walking slowly. Alcina could only think of what she would have to do with Irene. Would she have to keep her there with her or make Irene leave back to where she came from? It was a tough decision.

"What's wrong Alcina? Get chewed out by Mother Miranda again? You think you'd be used to it by now.~" Karl taunted from down the corridor, smirking as she walked past with Irene close on her heels. "So what did she say?"

"None of your business, little brother. She simply chastised me for Irene's mistakes. I have to figure some way out to take care of the issue." She hissed at him and continued on while Irene looked up at Alcina in shock at her sudden words. Was she really an issue to them all, including her mistress.

"Well if you're looking for her way out I can help. Maybe get her out before the fun starts." He dragged on his cigar and puffed out a cloud of smoke, turning to Alcina as she walked past with the girl. "And I can make sure she gets out fast and in time before she gets hurt."

Alcina stopped suddenly and thought around her mind for a moment, looking at Irene for a second then turning back to Karl. It was either she got Irene out while she could or she would possibly be killed with the weaklings. She had options for Irene and right now her safety was all that mattered. The woman knelt down in front of Irene and stroked her face gently, trying to not let her emotions take over.

"I want to stay with you..."

"I'm sorry dearest but you're going to have to get out of here. You'll get hurt or possibly die. I can't have either of those happen. God knows what will go on once we get ahold of that girl."

Irene pouted and was speechless. Did her mistress no longer need her? Tears streamed down her face, Alcina wiping them away with one hand. "Don't cry. This is hard enough as it is for me. Karl will take care of you until you can get out of the village. When you get out he'll direct you where you need to go."

The red head nodded and looked over at Karl who was waiting for them to finish their goodbyes. She really didn't want to go with him after their last encounter but Irene had no choice. Alcina was making her do this and it was the only way she'd get out alive. Irene wiped away the rest of her tears and the older woman smiled sadly before moving in to kiss her cheek. "Good girl. Now get going. There's not too much time left. I'd find someway back to you if we get out of this."

She stood up and let Irene pass around to Heisenberg, keeping her back turned as he pushed her on ahead. "Alcina you made the right choice. She'll be okay. I promise."

"You better...or I'll kill you myself...Make sure Miranda doesn't get ahold of or even sees her. We don't need that woman to corrupt Irene...Now go. We don't have long."

He waved quickly and made his way after the younger girl, striding down the corridor until his footsteps couldn't be heard any longer. Alcina clutched her fist and slammed it into a dirt wall, moving on in another direction so she wouldn't follow after them.
