- Milani please answer the phone. We can talk about this, princess, I'm not upset.
- Please don't do something you'll regret later, just call me when you get off work.
- Milani, baby, please call me. At least text me back so I'll know if you're okay or not.
- We can work this out together.
Milani turned her phone off and slipped it inside of her back pocket. She wiped her face with the back of her hand before wiping her tears on her scrubs. A knock came at the door and she turned her head and saw one of her coworkers standing there.
"Hey."
"Hey." She said.
"What's wrong? You haven't been flirting with me today. You must be got a boyfriend."
Milani chuckled. "No, I'm just not in the mood; I have a lot of personal stuff going on."
The slim man leaned against the wall. "Do you wanna talk about it?"
"Not really, I don't like having people in my business. No offense."
"None taken, I understand." She said. "Well, if you need someone to talk to I'll always be here. I have to go, I have a patient to take care of."
Milani watched her walk away and turned her attention back to her lunch in front of her. She wasn't even hungry, in fact she felt sick and before she knew it she was hunched over the trash can throwing her guts up.
That was the third time that day. She felt a presence behind her and when she turned her head she saw Greg standing over here. He was dressed in a crimson red suit with a black tie. Milani looked up at him and just bursted into tears.
Greg helped her up and helped her to the sink to get herself together. He watched her grab one of the extra toothbrushes and a small container of toothpaste and brush her teeth, gargling her mouth with mouthwash afterwards.
"How did you know I was on break?"
"I didn't. I just came here and then the woman at the front desk told me where you were." Greg answered, folding his arms. "After she was done eye raping me."
Milani cut her eyes at him.
"I'm sorry." He said. "Are you doing okay? I was trying to get in touch with you about the test, Milani, I want to talk about it."
Milani started crying once again. Greg knew it was mainly because of her hormones, so he pulled her into his chest and hugged her tight. He kissed her head.
"I'm not upset, princess." He said. "I understand how you feel, I do, but you'll be an amazing mother and it's not like I won't help."
"But you're still married."
"I'm working on that." Greg said. "I am, it's just a slow process but I promise I'm working on it...a little harder now because you're pregnant."
Milani looked up at him. "I haven't told Sapphire; I didn't want to make her upset."
"Why would she be upset?"
"Sapphire can't have babies." Milani said. "And she talks about babies all the time I don't want to seem like I'm bragging."
"I'm pretty sure Sapphire will understand, she looks understanding and kind." Greg grabbed her face. "I want you to know that you'll be okay, okay? Whatever you want or need I'll be here to provide it for you, Milani, and you know that. Stop stressing yourself out because look,"
He turned her around to look at herself, "you look drained and tired. Relax, I got this and I got you...both of you."
Milani couldn't help but to blush. Greg kissed her forehead then stepped back to look at her. "I don't think you'll be able to hide this for long."
