"YOU'RE FUCKING LATE!!" the demon growls as he looks at me by his shoulder. His gaze was terrifying, as usual, but I'm too used to it to not even be fazed by it. Well, first he stares at me like that, I feel like backing out from this nation completely. Yep, he's that scary.
"Things got out of hand. Many people want my help-"
"-and knowing you, you can't even batter a word of a no to silence them" he finishes my sentence, clicking his tongue at the end. "You're not a fucking hero like everybody calls you, you are not their servant. Stuck that in your goddamn head, Sky!" his eyes bored into my side profile as I disregard to face him, not wanting to meet his deadly eyes.
"I know I'm not, Death. So stop lecturing me" I say as I settle my eyes down the hill where we at
This hill is the portal for us to see the happenings in the human world, we monitor it randomly, but Death here is always looking at it like it's an infant who needs to be watched. And this is the third time he send me a message to meet here at this hill.
I smirk. "You're just lonely, aren't you?" I say out of nowhere still looking down the hill and I can feel his death stare at my side profile. It's burning!
"The fuck? Should I suggest banning you from coming here, then? I could take care of this myself!" He growls, minimizing his voice while looking down below the hill where people are doing their thing.
I just scoff, earning an angry huff from him. "I know you can't, Death. We're inseparable since the day we saw each other again" I commented reminiscing about the day I was talking about
"You make a move not me. I don't need friends in the first place" he mumbles but enough for me to hear.
"But you still accept my friendship~" I pointed out
"Tch! Just shut your mouth and keep me company you piece of crap!" He gruffed as he fixed his position while sitting on the ground, eyes still fixed on the portal.
I just mentally shake my head when he absentmindedly tells me he is lonely. You see, ever since we saw each other, I notice how deeply he'd changed. When the first time we met again, he was so stoic that everybody who happens to pass by or just plainly stared at him will back out. His aura can be dangerous when you interpret it in the wrong way, but my impression was different. He's just soft on the inside that no one dares to see. He saved me from that shadow so I know. So looking at this attitude of his, I feel like we're on another level of closeness, a minimal level at that.
I snapped out of my reverie when I receive a smack at the back of my head out of nowhere, my hands were rubbing it slowly while glaring at the one at fault. "Why?" I ask; whining. What did I do this time? Stargazing. Shut up!
"I call you for a millionth time already!" He raised his hand that curved it into a ball then looked deadly directly at me. "I don't want to waste any of my time, so if you don't move from your position I will freaking push you down on the fucking cliff!!!" He snapped
"I'm trembling~" smacking my mouth while my eyes dilated from shock. Shit?! Did I say that out loud? I see a tick mark forming on the top of his head as his eyes were in full deep deep black color. I'm dead.
"Why you little-"
I duck from his fist launching at me, then stumble as I run far away from him. I want to live. I don't want to die today! Nu-uh! He screams my name as I continue my pace, I run for my dear life viewing the school gates as my eyes land on the guard chilling at one of the guard houses. His arms were crossed over his chest.
