Author's Pov: -

In the evening...

He takes Davina in bridal style without asking or stating a reason and begins to leave the room without glancing back. With nothing but a frail figure on his arms, he climbs the stairs, opens the roof door, closes it behind him with his leg, and then advances towards the huge table that rests in the middle of the roof.

When chilly air quietly brushed Davina's body, she shivered. Davide observed and made her to stand up before removing his leather jacket and causing her to put it on. He then sat down in a small part of the table.

She was pushed to sit on his lap as he drew her closer. She hugged him, placing her neck on his shoulder as she looked up at the freezing evening sky with her hands around her neck. She took a few long breaths before Davide encircled her in his arms and locked his hands around her waist.

The couple spends a moment looking at the sky, feeling each other's existence, loving their closeness, and calming down their senses, but not the same questions are answered; they remain unanswered.

When Davide's men learned that their boss had been shot and was being treated at the hospital, they surrounded the whole place with their protection by claiming as armed bodyguards, and Davide grumbled and glared at them.

"Don't you have anything to say to me?" Davide whispered quietly, and her fragile body all tensed up when he tried to look into her eyes. She refused by tightening her hold around his neck. 'I love you', she has confessed now. He wants to know the reason for my refusing him all the time, and she has to tell him, she thought.

Nuzzling her head down, she said, "I have a lot to say to you."

"Do you love me?" Davide snorted, "You know the answer very well, Davina." Davina hummed, resting her face on his shoulder, "Davide." "I am listening." Davide whispered assuredly that he will hear her whatever she says and that he will understand or accept her feelings. "The first time I met you at a party, I fall for you," and Davide felt sparks all throughout his body.

"When you first looked after me," Her warm breath brushed across his cheek as she added, "Our first dance." and his heart began to beat more quickly. "But then I thought, what if... what if you leave me too? After using me, "what if you find me of no use after using me and throw me away or replace me with someone else? Then you will find your life in someone else, but then what about me?" "Davide, I've never found love; only Gerardo was here for me, Davide, only dad. I was left there at the orphanage by my own parents, and I have no friends; hm, I had one, but she left me too," she laughs sadly. Fiddling her fingers, she continued.

"Many questions were running through my mind: when I show you my real self, what will you think of me? Will you take me as I am? What if you got tired of me?" Exhaling deeply, she takes some breaths and says, "That is why it took me time. Many people do not find love for Davide, but we did, and then we believed me. Davide I thought about it a lot. But I didn't come to any conclusion; I was very confused. I was stuck between my heart and my mind. I was stuck between you and my sister, love," was the last sentence she whispered to Davide, who clenched his hand tight around her as he remained blank.
