Davina Pov:-"I bont rose" 'I want roses,' a small lady next to me says pointing her tiny finger at the wedding roses I am holding in my hands. Yes, Davide Diamond, that cocky yet hopeless romantic ass, and I are being married today.
"No baby you will not get it right now" Gabriela said. She started out crying softly, got down on her knees, short sucked on her lower lip, making me to panic out, her eyes blurred, and this time she cried loudly.
"It's okay Gabriela it's just one flower let's give to her" "No Davina" Gabriela glared at me, taking the child in her arms. She tried to pacify her. I reached for her to kiss her cheek; her moist eyes widened as naughty as she is. She leaned down to me to take over the rose, but Gabriela took her hand away from them. I nervously smiled at her as she continued her baby cry.
My hands trembled slightly as I adjusted the veil, its delicate lace brushing my flushed cheeks. The scent of roses mingled with the nervous sweat on my palms, and my heartbeat echoed a frantic dance against my ribs. A million thoughts flitted through my mind, butterflies churning in my stomach as a giddy sense of anticipation mingled with a faint trace of fear.
"Are you ready, Davina?" Selena's voice, calm and reassuring, broke through the swirling storm within me. I met her gaze, her gentle smile mirroring the love and excitement I felt swirling inside.
"Ready as I'll ever be," I whispered, a fragile tremor in my voice. Then, a deep breath. "Just... tell me he looks okay. Nervous? Handsome, obviously. But mostly okay."
Selena chuckled, her eyes twinkling. "Handsome, definitely. Okay, as much as any groom standing on the brink of forever can be. A hint of nerves, yes, but mostly..." she winked, "He's practically vibrating with anticipation to see you."
A flush of heat rose to my cheeks, and a nervous giggle escaped my lips. The image of Davide, waiting for me, his dark eyes filled with the same nervous excitement I felt, sent a thrill through me.
"Come on then," Selena prompted, gently urging me towards the door. "Let's make him wait just a little bit longer, shall we?"
With a final deep breath, I straightened my shoulders and lifted my chin. Stepping through the doorway, I was greeted by a gasp, followed by a choked sob. There, at the end of the aisle, he stood, bathed in the warm glow of the setting sun. Davide. My soon-to-be husband. My best friend. My love.
His eyes, a smoldering dark brown, widened in surprise, then crinkled at the corners as a radiant smile lit up his face. It was the most beautiful sight I had ever seen, and the nervousness melted away, replaced by pure joy.
Author's Pov:-
Davide was happy, nicely dressed, and he had a shining revolver jammed in his waistband.
A lovely bride came down the newly designed carpeted stairs that November noon, and the lights faded just as he relaxed himself. She enters the altar holding her father's hand and holding a bouquet of roses as she walks down the aisle with a beaming grin on her face.
The bride passed by the guests as they slowly turned around. The yells of those gathered in the rows on either side of the alter became crazier as they shout.
She directs her sight at Davide, and as their eyes lock, she notices how stunning he looks in his black suit. A broad, lovely smile appears on his face.
In the hallway in front of her, Davide was waiting for her and gave her a loving gaze. Was she going to be his last, or was she his first? She is his other half, and he has spent years searching for her. He is an egotistical worst nightmare who can take many souls with a one-eye take.
