"We have to go Bambina"

"Noooo!!" Jamie was trying to get her out of her bedroom but she refused. Screams and cries soon followed when he picked her up.

"What happened!?" Amina asked, Leigh-Anne's screams waking her up, While Sairah slept through them.

"Babe!" She called again when no one responded.

"Nothing baby, you can go back to sleep" That phrase alone told Amina something was wrong. She got out of the bed, closing the door and walking to Leigh-Anne's bedroom.

"tafadhali mama. tafadhali" Leigh-Anne cried reaching for Amina
(Please mommy. Please)

"Nini Tatizo?" She held the seven year old.
(What's wrong?)

"Sitaki Kwenda, mama"
(I don't want to go, mama)

"Wewe ni msichana mkubwa, Leigh-Anne. Papa na mimi lazima tufanye kazi, hatuwezi kukaa nyumbani kwa hivyo lazima uende shuleni."
(You are a big girl, Leigh-Anne. Papa and I have to work, we can't stay home so you have to go to school.)

" Why!"

"You have to go to school, baby. I'm sorry"  Since moving to New York a few things have changed. The main one being school for Leigh-Anne. Amina and Jamie had no other choice but to enroll Leigh-Anne in School. They couldn't even afford to put her in a private school as half of their savings burned in the house fire, they only kept half their money in banks. On the bright side Sairahs tuition is still valid as long as she goes to a school in the same chain as the one in Washington. This meant that she and Leigh-Anne won't go to the same school.

" Babe, can you please pack them some lunch?"

Jamie nodded and left to pack the girls some lunch.

"You want oreos, Mimma?" He peeked his head into the room.

"Uh huh" She wiped her nose with the back of her hand.

"You will be okay, baby." Amina took her into the bathroom, sitting her on the counter to wash her face.

"I'm scared mommy. Please don't make me"

"You have to follow your fears my love, you can't live your life in comfort all the time."

"I'll try"

"Thank you. You're a strong girl Leigh. This is nothing. We can celebrate your first day of school. Would you like that"

"Yes please."

"if it's bad can you come get me?"

"No. Mama is busy today. Remember?"

Leigh-Anne nodded letting Amina dress her in her school uniform.

"I miss my floof."

"Awww bubba. She would make you feel all better wouldn't she?"

"Yes."

"Soon as mama gets a little more money we will go get you a puppy. Okay?"

"Okay." Amina kissed her cheek.

"Dont be so down, cheer up"

"My throat hurts"

"From all that screaming you did. Come on let's go" Leigh-Anne raised her arms wanting to be carried and Amina picked her up, taking her to the car. Sairah and Jamie were waiting in the car.

"What's wrong little baby?" Sairah poked Leigh-Anne.

"Stop sissy"
