-Not so little filler-
Amina's POV:
"Wait"
"What's wrong, babe?"
"How come Leigh-Anne doesn't have to go to school?" she looked at me through the mirror as I braided her hair into two cornrows.
"She has school"
"Then why is she still sleeping?"
"Her teacher comes here at nine" We tried to put Leigh-Anne into school and she told us that she was afraid and we didn't want to force her. She has school online and twice a week her teachers come here to work with her. This is working pretty well but we have to pay for all five years of elementary as a bundle so it's not like we can try again next year. We will have to wait for middle school.
"That's not fair."
"Go ask her if she wants to come with us" She smirked trying to run off. I put my arm out blocking the doorway.
"Nicely"
"Fine"
"I'm serious, Sairah"
She skipped out of her room I'm assuming into our room because Leigh-Anne was in there, she was always in our bed. We had Sairah for about two months now and she was definitely a character. I know for a fact that she loves Leigh-Anne, shes very fun to be around but she tends to lie a lot. About little things for no reason which drives me up the wall. I could see her do something and she will still tell me she didn't. Other than that shes a pretty good kid.
"Oww Sairah!! Stop! Why would you do that" I sighed, hearing Leigh-Anne.
"Mommy!"
"Shes not here"
"Daddy!!" I walked to my room to see Leigh-Anne knocking on the bathroom door.
"Let him shower, baby."
"Mommy, sairah pinched me really hard"
"No i didnt"
"Yes you did! Right here" She held her arm out, tears filling her eyes.
"Sio lazima kulia, kipenzi" I shushed her telling her that there was no need to cry. She could be a bit of a cry baby at times.
"Sairah i said nicely, dont tell me that you didnt do it because i can see the mark right here. Go finish getting ready please"
"I know what you said!" She said excitedly
"What did I say" I was amazed by how quickly they caught on.
"Stop being a crybaby, Leigh-Anne" I smiled, she was such a troublemaker.
"No she didnt, she didnt even say my name. right mommy, that's not what you said?"
"You tell me what i said" She frowned. When Jamie left the bathroom she rushed over to him.
"Papa"
"Yes bambina"
"What does 'Sio lazima kulia' mean"
"The tears are unnecessary" He looked at me silently asking me if he was correct and i nodded.
"Why? were you crying?"
"No Sairah said mama called me a crybaby, but im not a crybaby, am i"
"Sometimes baby, but thats not what mama is saying, shes saying there is no need to cry not that youre a crybaby. There is nothing wrong with being a crybaby. Mommy is a crybaby sometimes." I discretely flipped him off.
