“Leigh-Anne please sit down”

“No, don't tell me what to do”

“Dont make me call mom,Leigh-Anne”The class began to ooh and ah.

“I dont care, call her” Leigh-Anne challenged

-

“Please dont call her!! please”Leigh-Anne begged the schools principlal who shook his head.

“This is the third time this week, its only tuesday.”

“Please dont call my mom. Call my dad please, please. She's at work!! I'm going to get in trouble.please. please. I'll behave"

He shook his head, dialing Amina. He would call Jamie but he felt like he didn't do anything about her behavior so he was calling her mother.

Ami’s Pov:

“Objection, your honor!” I sighed waiting for the reasoning but it never came. The court room fell silent when someone's phone started ringing. We all looked around trying to figure out who it was.

“Please turn it off.you were asked to turn off your cellphones before entering the courtroom” The judge looked around. One of the members of the jury raised their hand.

"Yes?"

"The ringing is coming from here." He pointed to my table.

"Handle it counselor"

"Yes ma'am, I Apologize, only emergency calls can come through." I looked through my briefcase for my phone seeing that it was Leigh-Anne's school.

"Your honor, it's my child. Can I request a recess?"

"Recess or reschedule?"

"Recess. Twenty minutes?"

"Granted." We were dismissed for Twenty minutes.

I tried to find a private area before speaking into my phone.

"Hello?"

"Yes, Ms.Simiyu, I'm sorry to bother you. Your daughter is causing a distraction in class and having more physical altercations." I rolled my eyes, wanting to hang up on him. We pay so much money and for what. They call us for every little thing. Well me. They call me for every little thing.

"Sir, I'm in the middle of a very important case and I'd appreciate it if you take this matter up with her father. He can handle the situation."

"Well, someone needs to pick her up."

"Have a good day" I hung up and called Jamie.

"Yeah babe"

"Are you busy?"

"A little. What's up?"

"Please go get your daughter. She's at school and in some trouble I'm guessing. But please go get her. I can't have my phone ringing in the middle of court. It's unprofessional and makes me look bad."

"I understand, baby. I'll go get her, dont worry and focus on your stuff. You got it. I love you"

"Love you too babe, thank you so much"

"Mhm see you later"

-

Jamie's pov:

"Leigh-Anne"

"Oh, hi daddy!" She frowned seeing that I wasn't smiling.

"Lets go"

"Mr. Giordano"
