"You ready?" Jamie asked his ten year old who was jumping around excitedly.

"Yes!"

She was in a back to back mixed martial arts tournament. She had about ten minutes before her next match.

"Sairah and Christian. Meet at number three in seven minutes." A referee said to the two kids before speeding off. There were so many matches happening with kids from age six to seventeen.

"Lets stretch a bit" Sairah nodded sitting on the floor letting Jamie stretch her back.

"Her legs too babe." Ami pointed out and Jamie stretched her making sure to look for any pain or discomfort on her face.

Meanwhile Normani and Leigh-Anne were doing some bullshido of their own.

"Stop before one of you get hurt" Jamie warned.

"We won't get hurt daddy, we're just play-'' Leigh-Anne was kicked out of the padded square when one of the older kids took down his opponent. It was by accident of course but it still hurt.

"Owww" She rubbed her thigh where she was hit.

"Come here you two." Leigh-Anne sat beside her mother while Normani sat in Amina's lap. They've been going everywhere together since Normani was staying with them. her mom had gone back to Texas after her husband fell ill. Amina and Jamie offered to watch Normani.

"We want to fight too mama"

"No, they're not fighting, they're competing . .in a trained sport."

Leigh-Anne nodded asking if she could have Nachos that the vendors were selling in the front.

"No, here. I packed food from home."

The tournament was all day and Amina already know that they would complain about how hungry they are.

She handed the girls both a small bowl of pilau and kachumbari.

"Can I have some"

"No eating before your matches" Jamie reminded tying her orange and white belt around her waist.

"Just a little bit papa? I'm really hungry"

"Is it heavy, babe?"

"The rice is, she can have some of the Kachumbari" She handed him the tomato and onion based Salad. He held the bowl while she took a few bites before giving it back.

"I can just blow my breath in his face and he'll be gone, see" Jamie cringed and Amina smiled when she blew her breath in his face.

"No breath blowing. youre making my eyes tear up" Sairah laughed.

"Good luck!" Leigh-Anne shouted from the bleachers. Normani did the same soon after. Amina shushed them, turning her attention back to Sairah and the boy she was about to fight.

She was joking around with Jamie when her coach pulled her away to get her lined up. They stood by the mat waiting for the referee to announce a winner.

"They're just letting you win because you're a girl. You can't take me"

"You shouldn't be talking" Jamie told the boy. He was standing behind them.

Once the other two left the mat they stepped on. They bowed and things were ready to begin. He continued to taunt Sairah until she finally stopped holding back. She took him down and once she got him on his back with his arm between her legs, She pressed her legs to his upper body, she was almost there. He knew what was coming and tried to lock his arms together but she already had him in an armbar. She held his wrist to her chest and raised her hips.He went red in the face as he tried to ignore the excruciating pain.Pain that could all go away with a few taps but wouldn’t all because he refused to tap out to a girl. Once she applied more pressure he began to cry.
