Chapter 18 - Getting ready for school

I woke up to someone shaking my body, I groaned and swatted their hands away. I heard a soft deep chuckle and then the bed beneath me was no longer there. I felt like I was flying in the air until I felt someone tickling my sides. I let out giggles and opened my eyes.

"Get up sleepy head." I looked up to see that Deven was carrying me bridal style with a big smile plastered on his face.

"I don't want to! and why are you carrying me?! Put me down!!" I whined and tried to wiggle out of his arms but failed miserably.

He chuckled, "No can do, Princess. You need to get ready!" He started to walk towards a wooden door inside the bedroom we were in. He opened the door to reveal a bathroom the size of a living room or two bedrooms combined. He set me on my feet and I stared at it with my jaw hanging down to the ground.

There was a circular bath tub that looked more like a jacuzzi or mini pool. A shower was placed at the far end of the room with a toilet at another end. The sink had a long, wide counter and there were huge mirrors above the sink and at the sides of the counters. There was a thing that looked like a shower with its clear glass doors but it was a place to dry off; you press the button that is located in the shower-like-contraption then warm air will be blown all over your body in every direction.

"You like?" Deven asked. I turned to him with my jaw still hanging down and he smirked triumphantly.

"Who wouldn't?!" I practically yelled in his face.

He laughed and said, "Okay, now go shower then we'll have time to talk and eat before school." I knew when he said talk, it'll be about the whole Thunder Delinquent and kidnapping thing. I sighed and nodded my head with a small smile.

I turned to walk into the bathroom when Deven grabbed my wrist. I turned around to face him and furrowed my eyebrows. I was about to ask him what he wanted when his lips instantly connected with mines. I was shocked at first and I didn't have a chance to respond because he pulled away from me and smiled. I felt my knees turn to jello at the sight of his smile and the electric feel he left on my lips. He left the bathroom without another word. Man this boy makes me go crazy. I sighed in content then went towards the shower.

I stripped my clothes off and stepped onto the cold tile floors of the shower. I closed the glass doors before I turned a knob in the shower. The water sprayed from the shower head and I could feel the hot water burning my skin. I yelped and quickly turned the other knob and waited until the hot water turned into warm water. I felt my muscles relax at the feel of the warm water bouncing on my skin.

I'm actually here with Deven. I'm safe again. But, what really bothers me the most, is not knowing how long I'll be safe. I know that since we have Sam and Cayle now that'll only make things worst. I'm postivie they're searching for the three of us. Especially Alec and Stephen. Alec didn't get to play with his toy because Cayle always stopped him and this time I'm guessing Deven must of stopped him at the store. He must of been there right? Skyler, Carter and Preston were there so, the rest of the gang must of been there too. It pains me to know that now the lives of the Honey Lake Delinquents are at risk because of me. If I didn't have this stupid crush on Deven this wouldn't of been a problem.

Crush? Your in love missy. The voice in the back of my head stated.

I sighed and grabbed a bar soap and scrubbed it all over my body. I took a coconut scented shampoo that was placed inside the shower, I squeeze some into my palm before rubbing it in my hair until it became a foamy substance. I rinsed out my hair with the warm water before adding conditioner then rinsing once more. Once I was done taking a shower I stepped out onto the soft furry carpet infront of the shower and grabbed a large navy blue towel. I wrapped the towel around my torso before walking towards the sink. I forgot to ask Deven for a toothbrush. I cursed under my breath before making my towards the door.
